"Oh, no they were thankful and we did take turns" Rosie said and shrugged a little"It still was hard"

Anna moved forward, taking lead with Jason and Don close to her as they looked around this hallway carefully.

"Xavier?" Estelle asked and moved back into the house to go sit in a chair. 

The doppelganger nodded and sighed, moving back to stay with Bertram

Graydon smiled at Kyra and also went to hunt for vines. He found a few good sized ones. He shifted and used his teeth to cut them. Thank goodness for all those years of watching TV from his cage.

Qdoba gently undid the bun and brushed out the tangles. She continued until it was dry and silky soft. She then breaded it and coiled it into a bun atop her head again. She used crystalline flower hair pins to hold it up. When she finished, she looked at Star through the mirror. "You are simply exquisite. Does the style please you?" She asked.

"Cooking is a good talent. They were privileged to have such a good cook." He said before taking a few bites.

Zypher knew there was a large room that opened up at the garage/elevator area. Kristen had drew them a map. He took it out of his pocket and passed it over to Don. "It's all we have as a floor plan. Kristen was a handler here and drew it for us." He said helpful.

Ashton looked to Bertram and Estelle #2 walk off. She then followed after Estelle #1. "Xavier is a warlock. He dabbles in magic." She explained to her.

Bertram walked a distance and sat on a bench under a large tree. He patted the space beside him wordlessly.

Star looked to the mirror and smiled, lightly touching the braid and turning a bit to see the other angles. "It's lovely, thank you Qdoba" She said and turned to stand up

Rosie smiled and finished her meal happily. She was glad to be here with him. She just hoped they were never attacked while she was distracted by him.

Don took the map and looked at it "This can be very helpful, thanks" He said, studying the layout then taking lead so they could search the rest of this floor for any guards or surprises.

"I think I met him when I first arrived there" Estelle said and took her seat, drawing her legs up in the chair to wrap her arms around them "But to make a double of me? That's too weird"

Estelle took a seat beside him and curled her legs under her "How can this be?" She asked quietly

"I'm glad you finally decided to escape. Markus isn't kind, and he never will be." Avenir said. "So, are you going to try to fly soon?" Avenir asked conversationally.

"Yeah, I've been working like a work horse. You need to start working more, Keldwyn." Sirene said jokingly and grinned. "Keldwyn, where would you prefer to eat? Mermaids are able to eat by the shore, if that's what you want to do. It's your choice." Sirene's mother said patiently.

Aurelius shrugged and said, "I isn't a priority for me. I haven't needed to fly, so why start now. I time, perhaps I'll feel differently. " She said softly.

Just as your presence is my very soul. So the loss of either, would be profoundly felt by the survivor. So let's not run that scenario. For the thought of it, makes me want to abandon this cause and ensure your eternal safety far from this mad man. That is how selfish my love for you, makes me. I haven't been able to really stretch my wings for too long." She said and shifted to her phoenix form, "Goodbye." Avenir flew away quickly, accidentally leaving behind a few feathers.

Rio had been in the sun in his snake form for most of the time. He shifted to human and looked at Aurelius. "Hi Aurelius." Rio said. He was in a pretty good mood now since he knew he was free.

Esprit thought for a moment. "I think we should swim deeper into the water. The deeper you go the more creatures you'll find, and it's fun to watch them. So, do we go deeper into the water, Keldwyn?" Esprit asked.
Sirene hoped Keldwyn didn't mind how much her mother asked her opinion, that was just how she was.

Aeval nodded and said, "Yes, the extra time you gave us with the run, helped tremendously. We have now metabolized the tranquilizer and burned it off. So there are no lasting effects of disorientation." She stood and shifted. "Come, my friend, you are depleted and are in need to rest." She said with great respect.

Cadeon stayed close to the wolves. He knew they knew how to infiltrate. Him, not so much. He copied their actions to learn what to do and what not to do. He would glance at Ember here and there, just to remind himself, that she was safe.

Markus stood and watched the monitor. He was quite confused by what he saw. Who were all these shifters and where were the Menagerie inhabitants. They must still be hidden in the back rooms. At lest from the doors on, he had visual. He'd watched the play back of the video and knew who exactly who was to blame for the blackout of the cameras in the holding cells, Aurelius. She had strategically done it all. Markus was seething in anger at the betrayal. He reached forward and pressed a button to the PA system. "What have we got here? The rabble come to take down the castle? Put down your guns and maybe I'll let you live. If you don't, you'll meet my special pets. Your choice." He said Darkly.

"I wouldn't put anything beyond that evil man. But the why, I don't understand. Unless a deal was struck. He likes to trade. Markus had captured a blue dragon. Maybe it has something to do with it." But then it occurred to her, "Wait, there wasn't a blue dragon when they rescued the other shifters. Maybe they moved it to a different floor. But not likely, they had it in the electronic cube. What color is your mother again? I forgot. " Ashton asked. A suspicious feeling flooding her.

Bertram thought a moment then started, "My people spoke of an occurrence of a body double. Such a double goes by many names. But the most common one is Doppelganger. A Doppelganger is a ghost of a living person. Some are believed to be evil in nature. The only way to know for sure, if you are a doppelganger. Is to see if you cast a shadow on the ground or a reflection in a mirror. Since it's still dark out, it will have to be the mirror." He said gently.
