Kyra looked down to the net, watching it as he pulled it up "It's doing great. This is so much easier than bringing it all up a little at a time" She said excitedly.

Star smiled and dipped her head "Thank you both" She said softly. She was pleased by their words even though she was still shy. She went over to Falkirk and looked at him "I know this is not how we planned to have this day start. To have someone I do not know trying to come after me"

Rosie chuckled and shook her head "No, I don't think less of you for that. I find it is the case quite often. Depending on how long the wait is before the individual can go back to their normal activities. You are actually doing better than I had anticipated, health wise"

The light was enough for the wolves still in the hallway to open fire on the two pets. With Ra, they would have a chance to shoot at his chest and belly since he was going after Ember.

Ember squawked and twisted in the air, her talons scraped the roof when she turned then dived to attack, drawing more sparks. Fire wouldn't hurt her, she was a creature of fire in this form, but fangs and claws that could also stand the heat could cause damage, so she tried to avoid them as she attacked, aiming for Ra's eyes to blind him. 

Anna growled low as she waited for the pets to get close enough to attack them herself. This one was big, but she was fast and nimble. She would use her speed to attack, working to get around and hamstring or go for the belly of this almost bear one whichever she would have a shot at.

Estelle nodded and clung to Ashton. This was all strange and she didn't like it at all "Maybe mother will know what to do when she gets back. I hope so" She said softly.

"But, how can we know feeling wasn't part of whatever spell made us double? Shouldn't we also pinch her to be sure she feels like I do?" Estelle asked and looked to him again "Wait, what if both of us are doubles and the original is still trapped somewhere?" She asked then covered her face "I'm making my head hurt" 

Graydon grinned happily at Kyra. "We make a great team." He said. He had a sense of accomplishment, for the first time in his life.

"Actually, about that. According to the old laws. You are safe from him until the challenge is meet. It would seem a challenge duel, supersedes all contracts. The only way he can legally have you as mate, is to defeat Ender here. If he tries for you again, it's high treason." Falkirk reported with great pleasure.

Ender looked to Star and said, "And they didn't name me Ender for nothing. I've earned my name, in my protection of the crown. " He said it without arrogance, just a statement of fact.

Falkirk looked to Ender with respect. He then returned his gaze to Star and continued, "The official challenge has been delivered. So now it's up to him to answer in person. He unlike you, cannot choose a champion, he must fight for himself. That is a royal female's courtesy only."

"Ra! Forget the stupid bird, kill the others! " Markus ordered over the PA system. Just like that, Ra turned from the Phoenix and started for the others again. This time aiming a fire ball at the ones who were shooting at him. As the bullets pelted his leathery and scaled hide, his fury built. He used his gland on his forehead to shoot out a fine flammable vapor. He then coughed a spark, that ignited it. The flames followed the vapor forward, causing a wall of flames to travel at the enemy. He roared his rage and charged after the fire screen.

Anubis bit onto the first rifle he reached. Crushing it like a tin can. He shook it vigorously and threw it to the side. He then went for it's owner. Plowing through the assemble group. Using his claws and teeth whenever he found something to bite or claw. He started his circular pattern, much like a bull does in a rodeo. The objective to stay mobile and cause utter chaos and destruction. By giving the enemy less time to organize a counter strike.

Ashton nodded, "Yes, I believe she will figure this out. We just need to be patient. " She said softly.

Bertram thought and said, "There are tales of two doppelgangers but they are extremely rare. I don't think that's the case here. In those instances they were demented...." He trailed off, realizing he wasn't helping the situation.

Dawn rolled her eyes and laughed. "Whatever." She knocked on the door.

Zia darted through the woods happily. This was her element and she was glad to be back.

Dust slide off her back and shifted when his feet his the ground. He went over to the moose and sniffed it. 

Navar was looking out the window while drying his hair from his bath. He turned at the knock on the door. The then looked to the Sylph and asked, "Is it safe to answer that?" He asked curiously.

"If it's a threat, I'll kill it." Jaeger said with conviction.

Navar threw back his head and laughed in delight. "I like you! I like you a lot!" He said as he walked to the door to answer it. He opened the door and saw Dawn annnnd some dude with freakishly long blonde hair. He frowned at him, all the while saying to Dawn. " Hello sweetness. How are you this mon...okay, who is that?" He inquired flatly.

Jackdaw growled low in his throat. But didn't speak.

Degan tripped a couple of times. Not used to the uneven terrain. Flat floors could do that after so long. But fortunately no one saw. At least, not that he was aware of. Zia was pretty fast for a little gal.

Aeval chuckled as she crawled up on top of a large rock and her sisters and herself watched Dust battle the moose. "Get him Dust!" Ena called out. Pandora snorted, "Be serious, that thing is mad. I think he might just get Dust." She goaded Dust. Aeval said with annoyance, "Shut up! I'm trying to enjoy the show. I can't do that with you two going on."

Dust growled and jumped up onto the moose, grabbing onto the antlers with his paws and snapping his teeth at his neck. It's neck was just out of reach.

"Do not tell me the future at all, I just wanted your opinion." Rio said simply. "That's good that you'll help them, but don't take too many risks." He told her, "Of course, you can, it's your choice, but I'd advise you not to." He said and chuckled slightly.

Sirene laughed a little, "Yes, food is distracting at times." She said and chuckled. Esprit put the human down on the ground, "We can eat here, this is a good spot." She said and smiled. Sirene watched the little fish that darted around in and out of the thick grass.

Arya looked at him, amused. He was lucky she wasn't hungry, bored, or agitated. She sniffed his hand and arm and his scent did not alarm her. Arya laid down next to him, looking at him curiously. This human was interesting, he had the slightest scent of a shifter on him, which was odd because he was human. She looked at the axe he had dropped and saw it had no blood of anything on it, so he wasn't violent in the least.
Arya blinked at him slowly, showing lots of trust by doing so. This human wasn't one she was going to kill, he seemed better than the others.

Kyra nodded and smiled happily, reaching over to pull the net in and to the door "Yeah, we do. I like having a team" She said with a wink as they brought the bedding inside.

Rosie tilted her head and tried not to laugh at that "That is a rather odd saying for a human to have" She said curiously. "Humans do not smell anything as strongly as a wolf can, even when we are in human form. I am glad you are feeling so well though"

Ra may not want to fight her anymore, but Ember wouldn't give up that easily and flew after the beast, again going for his eyes with her talons. She wouldn't give up in her bid to keep her pack and the guardians safe as much as she could.

Don and his men took to the doorways, using them to block Anubis and shooting or attacking from them as well. It gave them some protection while this battle raged on. The packs attacked with their guns and with their fangs and claws, though they were not as long as the bear like creature's. They used pack hunting techniques and worked as a team, one jumping in when another fell, working to tire the beast so they could take it sown, as they would do for any large prey animal. Anna and Jason were helping right alongside their father's pack.

Aurora moved in, bringing water from the rooms to pour over the pets to try to put out their fires.
