*Hidden Nature* A Shapeshifting RP

Danika wiped her eyes again and frowned a little. "I don't.... It was a bird, I think, a hawk." She said uncertainly

"Who would hear a tree fall down and not see if you got hit by it? Do you know if it saw you following?" Bellatrix asked.

Star finished and looked to him, curious about the notes he was writing.

Kyra smiled at him as they headed back to the tree. "We did very well today, this stuff is good for the winter."

Anna gave him the address on the edge of the city, it would be a safe place to leave the jag and get out to the ridge from.

Jackie walked over to join him and took a seat. She looked to the fence then around as she settled in to listen to the nature around them.

Angela held tight to his horns, both so he wouldn't worry and so she could easily stay in place. she kept glancing back until she felt sure they were not being followed.

Falkirk smiled and looked to Star. "This is what the melody that you just played looks like in written form." He then went on to explain what each note ment and how it's position on the scale effected the intensity of the sounds.

Graydon looked at their almost full baskets. "It's a truly unique feeling to be self sufficient, isn't it? I mean, you have always been as such. So maybe I'm not making any sense. But it fills me with a...... meaningful purpose. It's not simply waiting to be fed. One is engaged in an active search to find the next meal. It's scary, but yet exciting at the same time." He said thoughtfully.

Zypher pulled out and headed for the meeting place. He periodically glanced in the mirror and watched the traffic. It wouldn't take all that long to get there.

Bertram leaned back on his elbows and hung his head back off his shoulders to look up at the trees canopy. He was definitely feeling the effects of the manual labor. But it felt good, after so long of idleness. After a time he asked Jackie curiously, " So have you always lived out here? I mean, if you don't mind me asking. "

Nektar had the endurance of a lion and the agility of a gazelle. They covered a lot of ground. He wanted distance between them and the humans. When he was confident that they were beyond their reach, both by distance and terrain. He settled into an easy lope. "I do believe we should be safe. " He said with almost certainty.

Anna glanced around, watching as they arrived at the meeting place. She noticed Jason's van and smiled. "This is a good place to leave the jaguar it blends in and is 24 hour parking"

Jackie glanced over to him then nodded and looked up at the sky "Yes, my family has lived here for generations" She answered then shrugged "We don't travel much. You saw the shed, my great grandfather made that"

Angela sighed and nodded "Good, at least for us. Do you think we should let the wolves know what is going on?" She asked curiously.

But I've come to realize, I'm not motivated by my nature anymore. It was draining pure torture, being held in one place for so long. But eventually, the urgency just disappeared and hasn't come back. Do you think Markus broke me in some way?" He inquired gently.

Anna smiled at his chivalry and got out when he held the door for her "Thank you" She said and gave him a light kiss on the cheek before heading over to her brother.

Jackie looked to him again and frowned a little "kelpies do not always stay in one water, but it is not impossible for them to. You had to fight your nature to stay there for so long, but I bet that will return now that you have the choice. It will take time though"

Angela frowned a little then nodded "We can either go back to Jackie's house and get her to call, or we can go to the city, or tot he mountain sanctuary" She said, giving the three places she knew of.

"When is it due to hatch?" Ambrosia asked curiously. "Also, that is a beautiful name." She complimented kindly.

"Risky much?" Serpente asked then grinned a little, "I like it." She said and dismounted, brushing specks of dirt off of her clothes.

"Dunno, I found it on the ground." She replied. "Thanks!" Halfmoon said happily.

Blue light flashed toward it through the trees, she had pinpointed it perfectly. There was a squeal and Pluma disappeared into the trees for a moment, then returned with the groundhog in her huge beak.

Ambrosia beamed at her. "So, you are going to be a mother soon? How oddly young I feel, everyone around me seems to be having children. Maybe it's time for me to just settle and start a family. Though that seems unlikely." She stated humorously. "Of course, you cannot be old, I wouldn't dream of it. You are glowing with beautiful youth." Ambrosia seemed quite the positive talker, and complimented a lot. She just liked being nice, it was fun.

"Have you ever tried to catch larger prey? And by that I mean, humans? I have eaten a few humans in my time, really not bad at all." Serpente said. "Of course, with my-...Never mind." She muttered and cleared her throat.

"Wait, were you in the forest when it was cut down?" Bellatrix asked unsurely. "And I'm sure the hawk did not get hit. Their eyes are built to notice everything, one could not miss a tree falling. Though if trees were falling, I wonder why it was even there. Why not fly away for safety? There are many mysteries in this memory." She said, thinking hard.

Zypher chuckled softly at Anna's unexpected affection. He had a slight blush of levity, as he shut the door and followed after Anna.

Nektar had indecision. "Which is closer. I do not know the area. We are far from Jackie's. This mountain, how far is it from here?" He asked curiously, as he came to a stop.
