Bertram followed after Ember with Jaxon and Garth in tow. After a brief discussion, they agreed it would be faster is they both rode Bertram. He shifted ans waited until the mounted him. Hr then ran full gallop to the perimeter. Once there, Garth and Jaxon both looking into the trees. Two sets of eyes wouldn't miss much. Plus Bertram's kelpie senses would ensure their unit would stay safe.

Falkirk laughed at her joke and shook his head, "Never, I just wanted to show you this view. " He explained as he pointed out over the nighttime landscape. It's one of my favorite places to come. He pulled back just enough to smiled at her as he said, "I never want to be alone again. Because when I am, it feels as if a vital part of me is missing. "

Pariah said nothing as the gaurds delivered Xavier to her at the elevator. She looked coolly at them and they quickly stepped away as the doors shut. As she entered in the code to start the elevator moving, she glanced to Xavier. He was squeezed into the corner to get as far away from her as the confined space would allow. "Relax, it will all be over with in a few more minutes. " She said simply.

Xavier's eyes shot to hers. "I won't help him and now he's going to kill me and my son?" He asked quietly.

"You're son is no longer as you know him. He is but a minion of Markus now. You are best to forget about him. He would rip the heart from your chest, if Markus requested it. You should worry about yourself. " Pariah said slowly with a pronounced hiss on the S's.

Xavier tugged on his collar and glared at Pariah with hate-filled eyes. "He is my reason for living, I shall never give up on him." He replied hotly.

Pariah smiled showing her delicate fangs. "I wouldn't expect you would. " at that moment, the elevator opened up at the top of the mountain. She escorted Xavier out into the building that was beside the helicopter pad. The security guard looked to her confused. As he reached for the phone to call for help, she held out her hand and made a simple squeezing motion, which crushed the gaurd's windpipe. Pariah walked on without ever slowing down. She cleared the glass doors with the sweep of her hsnd and stepped outside. Xavier looked to her with wide eyes. But she only smiled at him pleasantly. She opened the void with one hand and grabbed his collar with the other. She spoke the spell to release it and ripped it off, before shoving Xavier into the void.

Xavier lost his footing and fell to his knees. He rubbed his tender neck as he looked back at her in absolute shock and surprise. "Why are you helping me?" He asked.

Pariah grinned showing all her teeth as she said with humor, "Because he needs to learn a lesson about me. Now walk straight ahead and pray like you have never prayed before, they open the void to let you out. Because unless they do, you are dead." She then closed her hand into a tight fist and the portal closed. She then turned on her heel and went back the way she'd come. Stepping over the wheezing guard to get to the elevator.

Xavier looked around confused. It was all white! How could he tell which way was what. But before he moved any, he turned his back to where the portal had been. But had no line of sight to determine if he was walking straight. He stood cautiously and started walking.
