Anna chuckled softly and rolled her neck away a little to look at him "You are, but you were able to read my thought that I did not speak it aloud." She said then gave him a kiss
~~~
Aurora took the plate and smiled at him "We will be leaving soon, I hope you are ready." She said gently before heading for the door. She was hopping htey could get out and save the others that were trapped quickly and safely.
~~~
Sorcha took a breath at the touch as she looked into his eyes as well. She shook her head a little then smiled softly. "I do not know any way, there is no mind to see the past here, and I know you won't let either of us be harmed, though I do not like the use of that magic. I do trust you."
~~~
Bardou bowed as well, amazed at the three dragons there.
Foneth bowed her head then introduced her guards as well. She looked back to the queen again and smiled softly. "We only have a day before the call will start to call us back home again, I hope this is not a bad time for us to come." She said a bit apologetically.
~~~

Echo team soon had a spark net set up to take care of the bugs, killing them off and setting up a perimeter for the bigger creatures. so they would have a 'safe' space to fight from and take a breath

Zypher made a soft sound of delight when Anna's warm lips meet his. He then murmured, "Ah, then it is mutual because you just read my mind, love. For Anna kisses are my all-time favorite."
~~~
Maxton fell in and followed Aurora to the door. He reached forward and opened it for her since her hands were full. "Allow me." He replied politely.
"I will, I assure you. I have nothing to do but get myself ready for this." Xavier said with mild humor as he stood to grasp the bars of his cell. He watched them leave with mixed emotions.
~~~
Racine dipped his head to her then pulled open the ties of his shirt collar to reveal his collection of various pendants. He carefully choose one made of a power stone. It worked similar to that of a solar battery on earth. Except its power source was magic. Strong magic that it absorbed from close proximity. " Now, as I explained before, my powers have effectively neutralize the Unseelie Sorcerer's stone. But this tiny stone may contain enough residue of Unseelie to power this spell as we need it. All we can do is try. I'm loathe to say, we'll only have one shot at it." He pulled the chain to break it free from his neck. He then cupped both of their hands around it and instructed quietly, "Search my mind and repeat the words you find there with me simultaneously."
~~~
Avalon smiled pleasantly and said brightly, "No, not at all. This is a very special occasion and iconic in its rarity. But what is this call you speak of? " She was concentrating very hard on not giving away the seriousness of their earlier predicament.
Ender looked to Foneth. He didn't want to reveal something he had no right to.
Nidhogg's eyes fluttered a little as she was gently lifted away from the ground. Still bound, she groaned a little through her muzzle, dizzy.
Reaper fled to the open sky. He looked over his shoulder and saw the gargoyle army in hot pursuit. He cursed his dumb luck and his over confidence. He growled and put all his energy into keeping their head start that he'd achieved with his expedient exit. He did however divert his focus to work on the bounds that were upon Nidhogg's small form. He spewed his acid breath upon the foreign objects. As the fell away, he'd catch them and throw the debris at their pursuers. He frantically thought of a safe place. He couldn't lead this hoard of stone back to his beloved Slygotha and wyrmlings in the swamp. He had to find a place where he could make a stand. Somewhere where Nidhogg would be safe from them if he should succumb in his efforts. But where? He roared as an arrow tore through the webbing of his outer wing. He thrashed his tail wildly and felt satisfaction when it made contact with the offending gargoyle.
Kyth glanced to Aurienne and asked. " That you're a shifter? Yes, because you'd admitted as much. As far as which specific species, I can't get a good read for some reason."
Aurienne looked to Kyth questioningly, with a hint of fright. "I never said anything about being a shifter."
Aurienne glanced towards Kyth nervously. "Yes." She admitted quietly. "I am not a friend of Menagerie, but I was kept their for quite a long time. I don't understand though, how do you know about Menagerie? There's only two types of people who know about Menagerie; those who work there, and those who are kept there." Aurienne's eyes softened in a sad manner at the realization of her words. She directed her attention from the stranger, to Kyth; the man she begun to trust. "Kyth, did Marcus send you to find me?" Aurienne moved out of Kyth's reach in sudden fright of his presence as she waited eagerly for his reply.
(She basically admitted it here. So he knows she's a shifter. :/ )
"So," thought Asclepius aloud," are fairy dragons named thus because they are small and colorful, or because they truly straddle both fae and dragonkind?"
Xatia paused in deep reflection of Asclepius's question. She then chanced a reply, " I must admit, I don't fully have the answer to that. I only know that there are may classes of dragons in Anstopfia. Lesser and royals, larger and smaller, two natured and not. Long ago, some Fae dragons fled their home realm and crossed over to earths. As a result, they have existed beside and even mixed with the dragon kind here. Kellan in the one to ask on such matters. He has the vast knowledge of Fae family lineage." She looked imploringly to him and hoped he wouldn't be disappointed in her lack of knowledge.
Slygotha, though she could barely see through the vines and the darkness spell, had been feeling very smug, but that was now fading away as the reptiles started to pour in from the trees and the river. The crocodiles, keen on the easy meal, would nonetheless only go a short way from the river, but any close to the river would quickly get drowned and eaten by them if they weren't paying attention. She could hear the insects dying, the buzzing across the landing and the burnt smell wafting through told her that her subtlety was lost here. These interlopers refused to die or leave, and they weren't scared of her tricks. She was still loathe to reveal herself, and her senses warned her that something was disturbing the earth nearby, digging methodically, probing her barriers. Things were getting serious. Trogdor had crept from the hoard pile and nosed the broodmother's foreleg, his eyes questioning.
She rumbled, a growl escaping. " I told you to hide in the cavern. It's dug out of the stone, to protect the gold, and it will protect you too," she hissed, trying to keep her voice low .
"But mother, why are we hiding? I don't understand," whined Trogdor loudly.
"Shhh! Just do as I say! I am broodmother!" She growled. Trogdor retreated, looking a bit like a sad puppy.
Even though the various snakes and lizards were creeping in from the jungle, Slygotha could not hear screams of anguish from the interlopers. At this point, it was time to get more serious. They were obviously strong, whatever they were, and resilient too. It was time to make better use of her overgrowth. A few twisting tendrils nodded, still very slowly climbing as her overgrowth spell waned. Summoning her strength, she closed her eyes, and jammed her claws deep into the muck layering the bottom of the cave, touching the roots of the magical vines. She guided the roots to entwine and embed in her claws, feeding the overgrowth with more of her inner magic. Reacting violently, the vines rippled to life once more, catching up any caught near or in the tangled confines, twisting into shape. She siezed the tunneling intruder, squeezing and wrapping around that which had disturbed her roots. The vine had become an extension of herself. Continuing to grow as it picked up the struggling biped, the vines on the edges of the landing receded into the new burgeoning shape, now growing strangely draconic features. They continued changing, with mounds of twisting vines springing forth from the slimy mire, each mound taking on a shape like a dragon's neck and head, with sunken pits where the eyes would be, and dotted throughout with the poison spewing flowers. A dozen heads now waved strangely, the largest one towering with the struggling intruder in it's throat. Slygotha hoped to crush the life out of it first, since it was obviously immune to acid. One of the heads, closest to the edge, turned to the armored bipeds stationed just out of reach. She only knew the local dialects and draconic, but she cursed at them, then demanded," what do you vermin want?"
Nevitha, Razeth and Valstrath quickly resume their hiding places amongst the stalagmites and various small caverns of the den. Valstrath chocked down his fear and watched vigilantly from his chosen spot. Razeth curled his tail around his body to hide it slight trimmer. Their broodmother's tone striking true terror in his heart.
~
Rouha clawed and viciously bit at the serpentine vines around him. His strong jaws more like the jaws of life, easily cut through the woody appendages and resuming his search.
(Ok ;) )
Aurienne eyes than softened in remembrance of her words. Shyly she turned away, everything she had worked so hard to hide revealed by a man she barely knew; and had begun to trust.
Anna smiled and turned to look at him, raising her arms as she did to give him a hug. "I love you so much." She gave him another kiss before taking a step back "But right now, we need to finish gearing up and get going"
Aurora looked back to him and dipped her head before looking to Maxton again "thank you" She said before heading back upstairs> Now that she was full, she was ready to go and get this threat taken care of once and for all.
~~~
Sorcha took a breath as he wrapped their hands around the stone together, following his advice and merging her mind with his so they could speak the spell together as one. She was worried about this magic, especially since she had heard nothing but bad about it, but she did trust him
~~~
Foneth shifted her feet a little to stand more comfortably. "A call that will lead us back home. My father was leery of giving us more time out here and wanted to be certain we could find our way home once more." She said, giving only part of the truth since she could tell something was strained in the queen's reply, though what it was was very uncertain. "Ender has spoken very highly of you and his brother, Spyro. He convinced me to come and see if things have indeed changed for the better so that we may come out of hiding once more."
Xatia paused in deep reflection of Asclepius's question. She then chanced a reply, " I must admit, I don't fully have the answer to that. "It makes sense. This must have happened long before people became civilized, with the long lifespan we enjoy. Things have a way of becoming lost to the mists of time," mused Asclepius. "It certainly is the age of man now."
Aurienne looked to Kyth questioningly, with a hint of fright. "I never said anything about being a shifter."
Kyth felt bad for making Aurienne feel uncomfortable. He should have been more delicate in his wording. "I'm sorry, you're right, you didn't. I made the conclusion on my own. My apologies, perhaps I should go." He said with immense regret. He stood and looked to her back before turning to leave.
