( Door to elevator or roof for a portal to the parking garage? )
As they started their migration to the parking garage, Zypher headed to the Amory to get a few special odds and ends. He then headed out to catch up with the group.

Navar had gone to his apartment to get his gun bags and body armor as well.
~
Xavier stood at the sound of the door as it opened. He was a bit surprised to see Aurora and Maxton again so soon. (He can fly also.
wink.png
He's kind taken to being her wing man. Lol!)
~~~
Jackdaw made a soft sound and nodded. He thought fearfully that perhaps Bardou was one of the dead. He smelled his scent here. But now it made sense. "Thank goodness. " He said quietly. He looked to Sorcha with renewed fear. "Is Star and Falkirk still in Ettance? Please tell me they are!" He asked.
Racine waited Avalon's reply through Sorcha and looked to Jackdaw at his question. "As far as I know they were. The question is, how much did Vatgkan and his sympathizers know? We should get word to queen Nabal. She needs to know of these Hythishens." He instructed.
"I'll go, if that's alright? "Jackdaw asked.
~~
Avalon did her best to hide he reaction to the current state of her kingdom and the severity of the threats now against them. She agreed to Sorcha's question and gave consent. She then gathered herself before looking to Foneth. "I can make no such promises. Not for the reasons you may assume. But for other reasons. There is a new threat to us all. Until we know more of their origins and what they want from us, your kind might want to just stay in hiding." She admitted truthfully.
(Aurora will fly to Jason, the rest are taking the vans, or a portal since that is faster, lol Fay's 'portal' would be the fastest and safest...just convinced myself, Fay will open a 'portal' for them to take the vans through to meet up with Jason and the others, lol...so we can skip them to being there with the vans to carry equipment if you want.)
Aurora smiled a little, glad that Maxton came with her, since she didn't really want to be alone. She came over to open the door and looked to Xavier "The three of us are flying to meet the others. I will have to make you unable to see distances until we land there for security of this place."
~~~
Sorcha shared the reply with Racine, since she hadn't left his mind to himself anyway. She nodded at Jackdaw's question "Yes, the last thing we need is an upset with the Balors or for Star or Falkirk to be harmed." She said for Jackdaw before focusing on Racine fully
~~~
Foneth frowned a little at those words and Avalon's upset, hidden as she tried to make it."A 'new threat'?" She looked over to Ender to see if he had anything to say about that, since he hadn't mentioned any threat. "What kind of threat?"
(Busy, busy, busy little bee, lol. Sorry)
"We bring no gold or sacrifice because we are not our ancestors and because we were unsure of what would be found out here at first." The female said, frowning at the darkness. "And I have only stated that we would protect ourselves from your attacks." There was no electricity underground but the anti magic made a full globe around the humans, protecting them that way.
Many of the more intelligent animals had given up direct attack, and were either biding time or had wandered back into the surrounding jungle. The crocodiles, however, simply waited motionless in the various deep parts around the swamp and the river edge. They never minded waiting. The bugs had wiped themselves out on the bug nets, but for the lingering buzzing of gnats and flies that never ceases in the deep jungle.
The anti magic shield repelled her vines successfully, and the shroud that destroyed the insect swarm caused the fumes emitted by her flowers to explode like little bombs. If she could keep them talking, thought Slygotha, then perhaps she could use this to her advantage...
"You obviously know nothing about me, and are simply oafs out here, looking for your own deaths. You capture my young and detain my mate, thus you are strong enough, whatever you say. I hold no trust for anything that isn't a black dragon, and even that is reserved for a select few. Nothing comes into my domain unless I or my mate invite it, and you, I am afraid, are not invited."
The flowers closest to the den started to weave their way away from her towards the edge of the landing where the Intruders had made their stand, creeping forward in the dark.
"We are holding them to heal them." She stated and glanced to the others. Where was Rouha? "We just wanted to talk to you if we could find you. To let you know they were not dead, that we are talking to the locals. Please come out, this is starting to hurt my throat to keep yelling at you."
( Sorry it took me so long to answer. I was thinking about what to do. :p )
Chevez came back after refueling and circled the area Echo-one was. He sent rapid fire at the tendrils that were actively searching for anything nearby. "Echo-one, come in, are you alright? " He squawked out over the radio.
~
Rouha clawed back out the sodden tunnel to the surface. The cave cavern wasn't accessible from below. He communicated as much to his handler through various grunts and childlike words.
The man at the radio was quick to answer the 'copter. "We are fine, just surrounded buy this darkness and the swamp's creatures. This is most defiantly the right place, 'Rhetta is speaking to the mother now, but she distrusts us and we cannot get any closer or move away. We may need Pariah to come" He didn't much like the thought of that, but they couldn't see a way to get in, in fact, they couldn't see outside of their little anti-magic bubble at all. "We are blind down here"
"Roger that! I'll go back and get her. Hang in there. From up here it looks like a scene out of a horror movie. " Chevez reported before going wide to avoid the vines before doubling back to the warehouse.
(Nice! Even better! Don't you wish we actually had portals? :) )
Zypher looked at the back of the van ahead of them mutely. He'd spend a lot of years and hard work to get to this moment. Correction, he couldn't have found Menagerie without the help of so many others. If it had just been him, he'd still be sitting in his penthouse staring at the view hating his life. His eyes shifted to look at Anna and a small smile lit his expression. That fateful night in the library when he'd grown curious about a certain shewolf, had changed the course of his life forever.
~~~
Maxton looked strongly at Xavier to convey that he shouldn't try anything. But at Xavier's compliant nod to Aurora, he relaxed a bit.

Xavier looked to Aurora and nodded eagerly. "Understood. Whatever you need of me is alright with me. Well, short of ripping out my still beating heart that is. That would definitely not be fine with me. " He rambled nervously.
~~~
With a dip of his head, Jackdaw was on the move. He sprinted up the steps to the main floor and out the back door. He then shifted to head for the portal to Ettance. His fae wolf's long legs devoured the distance quickly.
~~~
Racine met Sorcha's gaze and said softly, "It has been my experience that calling everyone together and telling them all at once controls panic in a certain way. That and their more apt to listen to your words and not blindly flee in fear."
~~
Ender was starting at Avalon with surprise. What could this new threat be? He wondered. He hadn't even noticed Foneth's glance.

Avalon looked to Bardou briefly before she straightened her posture and looked up at Foneth's great dragon form. She replied, "Yes, a new threat. From what we have been able to translate from our private historical documents, it's a race known only by Hythishens. They seen to have the ability to liquify their enemies. Quite completely in fact. We had found the aftermath of such an attack in our dungeon prior to your arrival. And i just got word that Dawn has met such an end as well." She looked away from Foneth at Ender and Spyro's mutual gasp. She went on to explain, "She was a remarkable female from Earth's realm. A Great Pyrenees I believe."

(Yes, that would be so cool :) lol)
Anna was using this time to study the blueprints while they went through and to Jason and his men.She didn't see Zyoher look to her, but she smiled softly when he did.

Jason was surprised by their abrupt apperance, but came over to the vans to greet them anyway.
~~~~
That drew a surprised laugh out of Aurora as she oped the door then held a hand out to Xavier "I don't think we would want to go that far." She gave him a smile before raising her other hand to make a small black cloud to shroud his sight, so he could still see nearby things, somewhat blurry, but far away things would be blacked out. "This will keep your identity hidden from scrying as well while we are on the move." She informed.
~~~~
"Why would they go after Dawn?She was new to this realm from Earth and had no political allegiance or power yet" Sorcha asked after Jackdaw had left. That didn't make sense to her. She nodded to what Racine had said then looked to him "Most are in the gardens and ballroom, there was supposed to be the celebration tonight."
~~~
Foneth frowned at the name, tilting her head and looking to the stars as if in thought or communicating with someone. "Hythisens? They have been trying to come here for a very long time as a race. Your ancestors would keep telling them 'no' because they are a race that is like the 'locusts' of Earth. They take over one world and use it until it has nothing left to give as they search for a new and strong world to repeat the process. Even when our people shared this realm they came to try to get in, though records of them have a tendency to vanish and all that is passed down is word of mouth about them," She blinked and looked back to Avalon "You are right about one thing, if they are here, then this is a dangerous place to be.
Seshsais looked to Vatgkan directly. She'd been very tolerant of his excuses and failures thus far. Uncharacteristically so. "The details of your incarceration doesn't mean anything to us. It was simple enough to rectify. But the point of the matter now is, that you are now indebted to us. By sparing you and your cohorts lives, you have lost the only bargaining chip you'd had. Convince me of your usefulness to us and why we shouldn't just dine upon your measly carcasses." She said resolute in her conviction.
Vatgkan stammered audibly while trying to form a reasonable reply. It was Kohen who spoke up first. " Great matriarch of all Hythishens, please allow us time to prove our usefulness to you. We know the weaknesses of the queen's castle and the divide deep within that will serve you well. You'll need us to make such contacts on your behalf. Especially since our friends do not trust strangers. We kept you presence here a secret. Only a few of our order knows the truth of your origin."
Seshsais shared a long looked with Zaasth before focusing on the one that dared to address her. " Did I give you leave to address me? I am many things, but I am not forgetful. I don't remember giving you such liberties. That's the problem with you Fae, you lack respect of your betters. You have everything at your fingertips, yet you squabble over pettiness. You have no idea what true suffering is. To look out at a world slowly dying beneath your feet and being impotent to stop it's decline. To watch the young around wither to nothing but I cinder for the lack of mere water to nourish their failing bodies. To witness the only son's you'll ever have, kill each other for a scrap of food. The certainty of knowing the last sunlight to grace your eyes is forever swallowed up by the shadows of the two moons. Tell me your true suffering and i may just let you draw another worthless breath and waste more of my air!"
Kohen covered his mouth with both his hands and fell to his knees is abject apology.
"There! Now that look suits you." Seshsais said with appreciation.
I can understand that well)
After the strong one that was immune to the acid had ripped it's way out and evaded her grasp, her focus shifted back to bringing the flowers closer to the interlopers with the magical shield. One of the vine heads were sent forward to make a grab at the beast as it padded out of her bed of vines.
When the loud thing left from her airspace, she was a little relieved. There wasn't much she could do to an enemy in the sky if she wasn't willing to fly up there herself; she was a creature of the earth.
Soon, the closest thorny head in the dark started accumulating a mass of the poison spewing flowers. A second head beside it started to accumulate flowers as well. Slygotha had the roots tap into her acid pool as a boost to their mobility and growth. The overgrowth responded with a second wind, a new explosion of growth devouring everything within reach. Using this surge, she sent the flower covered head into the electric netting, causing a cumulative massive detonation in an attempt to punch through the magical shield. The shock wave, although anticipated, still knocked back almost all the twisting vines and burnt the assaulting vine head to cinders along with several yards of vines surrounding. Slygotha grunted. Had it worked?
Zypher smiled in greeting when he saw Jason as he opened the side door of the van. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes. We're traveling in style these days. " He said with humor.
Navar snorted a little at Zypher's choice of words.
~~~
"A win, win for me then. " Xavier said with a slight chuckle. He then held still for Aurora to do her spell. "Now this is pretty cool. Not to mention handy." He replied honestly.

Maxton shook his head at the difference in Xavier's demeanor.
~~~
"Yeah, a perfect distraction for a jailbreak." He said with consideration. He then paused to look at his beloved. "Sorcha, the killing of Dawn has nothing to do with who she was and everything to do with what she meant to the Fae wolf. He seemed quite taken with the girl. Just as I suspect she cared for him, especially since she harbored him to help clear his name. Vatgkan needed someone to blame and the eventual rite fight aginst him, put Jackdaw in Vatgkan's cross hairs." Racine raised his hand to brush her cheeck tenderly with his thumb. "I could never loose you." He murmured softly.
~~~
Avalon watched her curiously, but soon paled by the second as she listened to the fate of Anstropfia and it's inhabitants. If they didn't stop the invading hoard, how long would their world last or Earth or Ettence? The horror of their current reality finally realized completely. "Then there will most definitely be war, for they cannot have our home." Avalon said with all the conviction she had in her being.
