Phoebe, still rather irritated, scoffed a bit, grumbling," a Queen, that's great. Just what I need, Royalty and all that." She shook her head, her shabby whiskers rippling. "Well, alright, I do need to find a good, easy build nesting site. I need to find something really hot, like a volcanic cave, or an abandoned fire dragon's nest. I don't have time to really fuss with making a fancy nest, but it would be nice if there were plentiful mineral and crystal deposits nearby for food. No need to bring him, he will slink back when he's ready, now that he knows what he did," Phoebe said.
"Young queen, they are still children really" Fay said and reached to touch her whiskers gently "A volcano? I know of a good one"She said then took them both away from the void, to a volcano that had a nice sized cave in it. Once they arrived, she made herself another cup of ambrosia to drink to restore her own energies. "Will this do?" She asked and motioned out to the water "This island is uninhabited by man, but rich in the gems your kind eat. Humans cannot come here because of the volcano." She said then looked to Phoebe again "Asclepius is not a bad male from what I have seen of him, though what you have said and he did not deny casts a very different picture."

Phoebe sighed. " He's not really a bad male, just increadibly irresponsible. He's always been a free spirit. He doesn't like to be tied down. He won't commit to anything for long. He probably figured that another came when the Call stopped. We golden dragons don't typically mate for life, so when the time to lay eggs draws near, the females send out the Call, to gather suitors for a great debate of sorts. Whoever intrigues me the most with his eloquent speech and demeanor, wins the chance to mate and help raise the wyrmlings that result. After the wyrmlings are old enough to leave the nest, the pair usually goes back to their own lairs."
Phoebe looked around the cavern, inspecting carefully. " Yes, this should do nicely. I can do much with this, thank you," stated Phoebe.

Fay dipped her head, sitting on a rock to sip her drink as she listened to Phoebe talk. "I am glad it is not quite so bad as it sounded back in the void. Do you want any help setting things up here before I go?"

25 laid down so that Merrick could get back on her back. Once he was settled securely, she would take off to find 30 so they could go back together."Yes, we do have a queen now" She agreed thoughtfully. Who would have guessed that they would be friends now when they had been enemies at the start of the day.

30 nodded and looked to the bodies again. "It could be, he is a business rival, yes?" He asked. They hadn't met this Axel yet, though some groups before his had gone to other places. He looked to 25 as she came over to them "25 is here"

~~~
Elle flushed, glancing to the window then back to him "I had to come, or one of us did. We could feel their calling once they came out of that place. They needed to see their queen and have their place as dragons of Earth established."
~~~
Jason nodded and looked around the gathering "Right, we need to start getting the troops back to the rendezvous  location. At least the fighting is done here." He didn't like that they had lost so many so mysteriously.

"Shaylee is resting and Ravek is watching over her. She should make a full recovery." Fay told them with a smile. She was rather proud that had turned out so well, even if it did mean letting an incubus loose in the world. He had restrictions, so it should be good enough. "They are at Jackie's"
~~~
She shook her head then looked around again, going to the wall to listen to what she could outside. It was a foreign language and that made her frown. What was going on?
~~~
Aurora nodded and looked around "Needs must that we focus not on what has happened or what we cannot do, but only on what we can do, without magic. We must assume that there is no way to track us at present, either because of these collars or some other blocking spell that we can't feel right now. So, first step is getting centered. Then trying to get the collars off, or make weapons with what we have here, then getting out of this box. One step at a time, panic does not solve anything."

Nashton processed that information as he looked up to see 25 and Merrick flying in and landing close by. At the expression upon Merrick's face, Nashton nodded, "Yep, that sums it up. Let's head back to the others, in case there are others watching and waiting for their next opportunity." He said as he scanned the treeline suspiciously.

"I'm with you there. I have the distinct feeling that this war is evolving continuously." Merrick said with conviction as he held tight to 25.
~~~
Cadeon reached out a comforting hand and rested it on Elle's knee. "Hey, now. I know and I understand completely, as I'm sure the others will too. With all you have singlehandedly done to assist us in this war and now with Aurora's disappearance.... I think a slight scold is all you've going to get for you sneaking away." He replied matter-of-factly.
~~~
Navar looked around and added quietly as he stood by Jason, "Then a final head count can acutely be done."

Xatia and Maxton had started moving the rescued hybrids and shifters with various wolves to the sanctuaries they'd had set up.

"Wonderful news! Just as Jackie's is the best place form them too. I never felt safer in all my years then last night." Zypher confided to Fay, a moment before his eye sought out a busy Anna across the way. It was the calm before the storm, he thought to himself. He worried on behalf of his friends and wouldn't rest until he got them all back safely.
~~~
Gammr moaned and laid on her side. The strange motion was making her nauseated. She then caught whiff of the salty air from a seam in the creat. "I smell ocean. " She stated through her misery. Hades hounds did not like water of any kind.
~~~
Aeval saw a gleaming something in the dim light. It stuck out from the busted wooden box. "Look, Aurora! A metal spike!" She said as she pulled it free to present it to her.

"No, the nest itself is easy enough to dig. I will miss my old place though, but I'm sure it was sacked when I was captured. Hmm. Actually, a big glob of wet clay near the lava, but not touching, would be nice. I can shape it into a basin to receive the eggs as they are laid. That would make it much better for the eggs, I suppose," said Phoebe. "Oh, and, let Asclepius know where I am. He will come looking, later. He may be a scoundrel, but he's not cold. He will want to check in with me," mentioned Phoebe.

Jackie smiled at that and went to open the bedroom door and pull back the covers "Thank you, but it isn't just my work here. We worked together" (I forgot the kelpie's name)

( Bertram is his name. :p I had to look that one up myself. )
Ravek gently set Shaylee down in the space provided by Jackie and covered her up lovingly. He then sat in the chair he brought over to beside the bed. He carefully took Shaylee hand again to give her every ounce of his strength he could afford to give her. He smiled to Jackie as he got settled. He remembered the Norse waterhorse. A Kelpie if he remembered correctly. "Then you work beautifully together. This cabin radiates both positive and caring energies." He replied honestly.

Nidhogg shook out her wings, flecks of mud and peat flying. Stretching her muscles, she thought about if she should risk a flight or not. She decided that walking was probably safer, since she could dive into the underbrush or the murky wetlands that abounded here, not terribly far from the nest. She wasn't sure if she would be persued or not, at this point, so she started jogging along the jungle floor, sniffing the air for clues, and watching the landscape for markings.

Razeth had cautiously made it back to the forest edge of the den site. He made a very low hum, barely discernible to human ears. He waited for a response of any kind from the inside. But no response was returned. He sniffed the air and shook his head, he didn't like these new strange scents that overlapped the familiar ones. But that was when he picked up on the freshest of this broodmother. It lead to a little further down and to the right. Did his mother get away? He thought hopefully as he hurried to catch up with the scent of safety and his previous happiness.

Sorcha went with Racine after greeting the others when they joined them. She took her seat, glad of the chance to rest and let the others be caught up. After a moment, she would put a spell over this room, making it so there could be no illusions of one pretending to be what or who they were not. She glanced to Racine, speaking only to him to let him know what she had done

Bardou dipped his head to her then stood, drawing their attention to explain what they knew of the situation and what they thought would come to pass from it. He did not mind being the speaker for Avalon, especially since she was busy

Foneth smiled softly taking his hand and closing her eyes to teach him the magic so that he could then teach the others as he saw fit. Once done, she settled in place again and looked over to the generals, watching them as he absorbed the knowledge. This long and eventful day was starting to take it's toll on her, she was getting tired too.
~~~
Nova took off to lead the way back to the castle. Her three heads conversing amongst themselves about what might have happened since they left the castle to explore
Starr stayed close to Falkirk as they flew back, wondering what was going on and why she felt as if this was her fault at least in part. It was a strange feeling, but she couldn't shake it.
Racine smiled as she informed him of what she'd done to the room. "Very wise indeed, my beloved wife." He replied privately back to her as he watched the dealings from their vantage point.
The royals were stunned by this attack, but continued to listen to Bardou in silence until his conclusion. Then the questions started. Many a panic of individual fears. But Bardou answered them with supreme patience.
Avalon finished her mental search and rejoined the room fully. She looked down at the drawings her hands had sketched during her search of the servants minds for the invaders images. "These are our nemesis." She said aloud as she presented the drawings to the royals. Sorcha had provided her with their likeness. She wasn't going to share the brutal vision from the dungeon with the others. Somethings can not be unseen.
As promised, the refreshments were being brought out to the field for the great dragon princess and her guards.
"What vast knowledge you have gifted me. I'm forever in you debt, Princess Foneth. " Dyrus replied quietly.
Ender continued his instruction with the new arrivals.
Falkirk felt his mates trepidation and longed to soothe her of her fears, but he had very much the same thoughts about himself. He brushed her closest side with the tips of his wing, the only physical reassurance he could give her at the moment. "Star, we must know the facts before we cast ourselves the culprits." He replied through their link.
Nidhogg was snuffling not far from the den when she picked up a lot of strange scents. Something she didn't understand had happened here. Was the Broodmother alright? A fresh scent from one of her brothers wafted close, and she heard the low humming as he called for family. She replied in kind, harmonizing as she perked up, cocking her head and looking expectantly in his direction.
Jackie dipped her head, smiling at that "We will bring over something for you to eat in a little while, though there is plenty in the pantry if you know how to cook and don't want to wait. You will both need to eat soon anyway."
