( They aren't firing live rounds, their tranquilizer darts.)Jura listened as the males argued about what to do. She then turned her gaze to the down she wolf, they must care for her a great deal to protect her so. She had never had anyone care so much for her or her life. She had never known that comfort, it would be a simple thing for her to take out the two males and deliver this prize to their captors. The question was would they giver her her freedom if she did? She had lived her whole life in captivity, she knew the likely hood of getting free by doing what these captors wanted was slim. She might gain some decent treatment, but seeing how these wolves were treated she doubted it. She had two options the way she saw it, she could help the captor and hope he was kind to her. Or she could attempt to help these wolves and hopefully get free or endear herself to them so that they take her with them if they leave. When she heard men moving into the room she had just been in and shots being fired she decided to act and hope for the best outcome.
She ran in front of the wolves and positioned herself protectively around the males and the she wolf. She was too slow to stop the males from being hit but if they were still alive she would keep them that way. She lowered her head with a warning growl as she curled her body around the small group and prepared herself for what was inevitably to come.
