I'm not sure this is the correct place to post this -- one of our members has been thinking of rescuing an elderly cat -- she mentioned wanting something to 'hide' the litter box --
We have several indoor cats and dogs --
My husband bought a very pretty bedside chest/cabinet from a consignment furniture shop -- the kind that was part of a bedroom set in the 70s and 80s -- he cut a hole in the top (at the back) for the cats to use as an entry -- lined the floor inside the cabinet with leftover tiles -- this 'kitty-cabinet' has a door on the front and no drawers so the litter box goes inside, the door is closed, cats go in and out thru the hole in the top (a lamp and a stack of magazines are also on the chest) --
It really looks as if it is 'decor' but does a lovely job of containing the litter box -- cats like it and the dogs stay out!
Could be painted to co-ordinate with color scheme, etc.
Just an idea for a really cheap way to get one of those 'designer' cat-box cabinets --
