High altitude eggs for sale

Does anyone who live at at least 7800 ft. have eggs for sale?

y do u need eggs from that altitude? does it make a difference?

Lower altitude eggs don't hatch well. Something about shells being different.

I was just reading a report about this not too long ago.

The shells are more porous on the higher altitude eggs to allow higher oxygen absorbtion and carbon dioxide exchange.


The shells of near sea-level eggs are denser due to a much greater oxygen content in the air.

It's all about the air, baby. Same reason hatcheries keep oxygen pumping into their hatching rooms.

No air, no life.

If your shell is too solid, not enough oxygen.


I apologize if I made this a little too basic. I don't assume everyone is an idiot...I just get carried away with talking.

No eggs, but I'll have 7+ 3 day old EE (listed as Ameraucanas) chicks early next week.
Ordered all pullets (actually ordered 15, but only have room for 8 and plan on putting the extras on Craig's list).
We're about 2 hours from Denver - south, then west.
