ok so basically if i wanted pure white i would have to have a white and white rooster. And if i wanted pure buff i would have to have a buff hen and buff rooster. Thats dissapointing because i couldnt decide between the 2 colors so i thought i would just get both. I think if i had to decide on a color i would probably choose white.

There are plenty of breeders of good quaity birds. Unless you are looking for something very specific or uncommon, I recommend trying to find a breeder nearby so that you can actually LOOK at the birds and select from those available

ok i will start searching locally. I know that they are very rare in my area and most people have never heard of them. There are 3 ads about silkies on craigslist. 2 adds are wanting to buy silkie chicks or full grown silkies. 1 add is selling 10 silkies for 15 dollars a piece and in the picture they seem to be pet quality.
