High volume float valve

Cant find any specs on it but your link in post #1 says "Ideal for low-pressure gravity fed systems" so it shouldn't be dependent on water pressure for water flow.

Yes, and most premade coops say for "X" number of birds, where "X" is 2-3 times what any of us would recommend.

"shouldn't be dependent on water pressure for water flow" ignores reality. Its not a pump.

It will work with a low pressure system, yes, but its not a fast flow valve design. Its essentially a glorified toilet tank float, and no doubt would work great if connected to the typical household 45 to 75 psi recommend - or well if connected to a small water tower and allowed full travel for the valve to open.

Even a small change in elevation can make a big RELATIVE difference. My raised rainwater collection system, when full, has a waterline at near 8', supplying a trough at about 6" The pressure differential between those points is around 3 PSI. His system has a pressure differential around 1/2 PSI, best case, between the top of the bucket and the cutoff for the trough. So my tiny 3 PSI is 6x the pressure he's relying on to move water. I also have no 90 degree bends in my pipes to add friction.

Still in the Atchafalaya? (spelling, sorry) Like anyone who travels 10, i've been over it more than once. No elevation there, but also no frost line, as you've observed. Setting your bucket on a ladder would help some, or anything else that gives you a taller water column. You don't have a structure out there, by chance, where you could set up an elevated rain water catch or the like?

U got it. Butte la rose exit then head north 7 miles.
I could build something but by the time i do all that work i can just plumb a water line out there

Just An Update. 1/2” drill bit. That screen literally grabs onto the bit and spun out. The flow hole was like a 1/16 pilot hole. I drilled it out to 1/2”. Got the flow i neeededd... then removed and applied teflon. The POS cheap ass china plastic broke 🤬🤬🤬

installed the other one; used hose pipe connection. Trough fills up but The valve doesnt shut off.. so bsck to amazon it goes, back to square one
