A few of us were wondering who has gotten the highest price for auctioning eggs. We just had someone at $126.00 for 12 hatching eggs. Who has the record? Anyone know?

I can tell you that auction give me high hopes for my eggs once the roo and pullet are old enough to produce fertile eggs. Here is my handsome devil!

Wow Deb, that BW pullet is very nice too.

Is she on the small side?

Yeah, you should hatch out a bunch of her eggs and get a little flock... and we could trade eggs for genetic diversity!

They are both 17 weeks now. Not quite mature enough to expect lil Ameraucana's yet!!!! Mine have different parents. I would glady trade eggs with you once I know they hatch out well. She is a Wheaten, not blue wheaten. He is the Blue Wheaten.

ETA: She looks small because she is next to some monster sized BO's in that pic

Wasnt it the the lavendar orps?? maybe i'm wrong though....

I'd say it was either the lav orps or the blue orps last spring. They were waaaaay more than $126.

Yeah, hinkjc's eggs (I think they were from the lavender project, but I can't remember) were sold for a really, really high price in an auction. It was incredible.
