Hiking!!!

Here is our favorite trail. It’s in the Smoky Mountains in TN. It’s almost 11.5 miles out & back with a 3,000’ elevation gain. It’s a killer but we’ve hiked it the past 5 years & are planning on a 5th this fall.

This video is long but I left out a lot & tried to get most of the harder sections so that anyone interested in trying this trail would be able to see just how hard it is.

I went on two hikes in the last few weeks! This week I went on an 8-mile hike - probably my longest hike ever. It's a big deal since just a little while ago I couldn't walk my dog up a small hill without terrible back pain. Both hikes were easy to moderate terrain, but I gotta start (again) somewhere.

I LOVE hiking! But I almost never get to do it. For multiple reasons. Transportation, physical disability etc. So I take long walks to make up for it and I live in a beautiful rural area that's mostly wooded, but there are plenty of meadows and wetlands too!
