Hinkjc Orpingtons (Lav, White, Black & Buff) taking orders for spring

Isn't there a "swap farm" out there for spousal trades yet???? Darn, now that's a GREAT idea!

The only problem is who would build the coops???

I am eyeballing these Lav Orps. This is so difficult.

I must add...I bought a breeding pair of White Orpingtons from someone who bought them from you. Not only are they gorgeous...the hen is a laying machine!

I'm glad you like the white orps Muggsmagee. I try to select breeders for all aspects of breed preservation. Not only is beautiful essential, but they must propogate well and be very hardy and self sustainable birds. You would love the lavs too!

Congrats Buck Creek! The line is growing fast, so I may shut off taking orders after this listing ends until we start testing some eggs. I'm glad you got yours reserved.

If a payment for Lavender Orp Eggs was made now, what kind of arrival date time frame are we looking at this spring? Thanks in advance ---I will need to plan Vacations accordingly

I would say we're looking at May at this point for lavender eggs (based on how many orders are in). This is just an estimate and if I can fill them faster, I will. There is also a chance it could be slightly longer depending on how the hens lay and how long it takes to ensure optimal fertility. If you are aware of a vacation week, just let me know and I will make sure to adjust orders so eggs are not left sitting anywhere unattended.

Ok, after tossing and turning all night thinking about those Lavender peeps, I have one more question...I know what the price of chicks vs eggs is, my question is.... is the estimated date of arrival for Lav chicks the same as hatching eggs? Sooner/Later than may? Thanks in advance

I would estimate about the same right now. This is very dependent on when the birds are laying well enough and how quickly the eggs prove fertile. Once that is accomplished I will be setting hatches weekly and filling egg orders in between on Monday-Wednesday. So essentially, both will be going out at about the same time, but the list is growing daily. I'm certainly hoping all goes well and orders can be filled very quickly. We will reach out to everyone in order of payment to let them know when everything starts rolling, so we can set specific dates that meets each person's needs.

ANYONE IN NYS. Here's the deal. Trylin and myself are offering to pick up chicks for anyone who wants to order and is willing to pick them up in Syracuse. This should shorten some folks driving distance by a few miles and make it easier to order a few or alot of chicks. The stipulations on are on the NYS posting, so go there and have a look.

One of the important things is that we will NOT be involved and any money transactions. Only picking up of the chicks and they will have to be picked up from us on the day we pick them up from hinkjc farm. Any private arrangements with either trylin or myself does NOT hold hinkjc liable.

FYI. We are located near an I81 and I90 intersection so you will have no problem finding us nor miles to drive once you get off either of these to highways. We can give you the exit numbers when you contact us if you'd like to take us up on this offer.

rancher hicks / trylin - thank you so much for putting this generous offer out there for others in NYS. Not only will this allow folks to place small orders and save on shipping fees, it will provide the chicks a quick and safe trip home in caring hands.
