My lone BO, Nellie, has decided to hang out with the dogs ... found her inside with Tazz this afternoon.
My mom still has Gracie, recuperating from a serious run-in with a dog, in her kitchen. Today Gracie decided to get OUT of her corner and proceeded to putter and cluck around the kitchen. This happened a couple times, till my mom realized that "Gracie's" rug was still outside. She brought it in and put it back where it "belonged". Gracie returned to her corner and with a huff and a puff and a fluff of her remaining feathers, settled in for the evening. None of us knew that these amazing little creatures could be so entertaining!
Ha Ha! This reminds me of something to happened to me! lol
:lol
I was outside looking for my chicks because it was time to lock them up I couldn't find them so I start calling them and they all come running out of the house!!! I was laughing my head off!
And to this day is someone leaves the door open a chicken comes in the house! lol
Oh, I can just imagine how it might be if our flock followed in after me, and took to wandering the house ... their curiosity and fear, and finding weird stuff on the floor, plus contributing. When we had our duck he basically hoovered through the house, not always the best thing for him to do ... Our flock is a little more persnickety ... but I think they'd find a fair amount (alas, our humble housekeeping skills) to amuse them.
In Texas, doors open when it is 100 out just don't happen.... With a house full of cats, and dogs, I have to KNOW where my chickens are. No pop door, really secure run.
