Hint: never leave your door open when your flock is free ranging!

My previous boss bird was a big Rhode Island Red. He had a fascination with the back porch and was forever leading his hens there (and leaving the inevitable deposits). I quickly learned not to leave the door open when the yard flock was out or he'd lead them right into the kitchen!

I don't usually get much attached to a bird, but I miss that particular one.

That would probably be the weirdest thing to wake up to ever. Mine come in the garage all the time and they try to get in the refrigerator. Because they know the real good candy is in there they have got to smart for me. Well I guess you will remember to shut the door... HAHAHA

Too funny!

A friend of mine left her laundry room door open and unattended. She came back later to find a hen and a roo checking out the incubator.

Thanks for sharing your story-hope the chickens didn't make too much of a mess in your home.

Now if you would let them in every now and again for some Saturday cartoons and cold pizza they would not be so curious about the people coop.

Yeah your right always keep the door closed. I found three chickens sleeping in the dog basket that is under the kitchen table.

Another day I was watching TV and herd a peep, the same three chickens were sitting under the coffee table
