A.T. Hagan :
My previous boss bird was a big Rhode Island Red. He had a fascination with the back porch and was forever leading his hens there (and leaving the inevitable deposits). I quickly learned not to leave the door open when the yard flock was out or he'd lead them right into the kitchen!
I don't usually get much attached to a bird, but I miss that particular one.
.....Alan.
Mine must be his brother
My RIR roo is forever trying to call his girls in the back door if I leave it open for the dogs. DH is kindof afraid of him, so that makes it even MORE hilarious when he does come in the back door. "HONEY, YOUR ROOSTER IS IN THE KITCHEN!!! GET HIM OUT NOW!!!!"
I personally don't mind the birds coming in for brief visits. We have hardwood, and chicken poop cleans up a lot easier than dog poop (which I have been cleaning a lot of since we got the newest member of the "Hey, can I eat that?" club). I just fail to see their fascination. Mr Red always calls the girls like found some special treat --- but with 2 dogs there just isn't a surplus of crumbs on our floor
I think Red is such a liar.
