Hit and Run

NYB I have gotten parts off there before.
It had been raining since Thursday night. It quit yesterday so today we got the truck out for a closer look and found red paint transfer on the fender, which is black. The truck body is yellow, the wheels are a different red color from this red we found.

Calling the highway patrol trooper with what we found.
Got it posted all over FB and the local online yard sales.
One business near there had a camera they are checking the video to see if it caught anything.
Found out the local PD guy had gone into the bar and was being a jerk to everyone.
Lots of ticked people.

SO MAD!!!!!

DH went in yesterday to talk to the owners near there who have a video camera set up. Now I had called them the morning after it happened and DH also went in and spoke with them. They told us they were going to check the video. DH went in again yesterday and was told that they didn't think it was that important and the security camera runs over previous film every 5 days! Well it wasn't even a full 5 days but were told sorry. BS!
They had kept promising they would check. They didn't.
Neither did the cops!

DH talked with the police chief yesterday too and he said his officer never accused us of trying to file a false report to do an insurance claim.

I know he won't talk to me because he knows I will chew him out.

Just so mad right now!

On the good side over half the town is looking for this red or red primered vehicle.

Hmm...now that would have me wondering if a red vehicle is somehow associated with that business. I hope you're able to find the person.

Dewey it is just getting weirder and weirder. The owner of the bar owns a red vehicle but the paint color does not match.
The police chief is now claiming that someone had used a piece of wood to damage the truck. Really? Then where did the red paint come from?
How can someone beat on a fender in such a way as to break the metal with a piece of wood? If they had used the piece he claimed where were the splinters from it?
I have yet to meet anyone who can swing a bat or a piece of wood to damage such a certain area and not leave a mark else where..

been down this road, had a guy at work claim I hit his car with my plow truck when I plowed the car dealer his grand pa owned. it had a nice dent in the side with white plastic curlys like it had been drug down a post at Mcdonald's drive threw. the owners son had to come down and tell the guy to lay off, there was no way in heck the Plow did the damage to that car the way he claimed. it would have looked like a can opener got it.
