Holderread Embden Baby Geese $130 a pair (is it worth it)?

I checked the Holderread site. They sell their show quality baby Embden geese for $130 a pair versus $25.00 (no mention of show quality) offered by most other hatcheries. Holderread calls them Giant Embden. Other than the fact that Holderread is doing some good things that deserve support, I wonder if there is actually a big difference in size and quality? Is the difference worth it? I like to develop a nice flock of quality Embden even if I don't show them. I am hoping someone who has experienced having some of the Holderead geese comments. Thanks

I have never ordered from Dave, but I have read nothing but good things about his stock. I'm sure there is a huge difference in the quality of the birds. Most hatcheries just breed for production as that is how they make their money. Nothing wrong with that. You just have to ask yourself what you are willing to pay. If you just want lawn ornaments or do you want to produce quality birds that represent the breed well.
