I forgot to add..years ago I made a poinsetta block that was nice but it might be too much work..and it was applique..I have also seen a cardinal on holly branch too...

I'm not a tatoo person either but that is really clever of the artist to make that butterfly out of the breast cancer awareness ribbon!! Very pretty! My grandmother had a double mastectomy in her 60's and lived another 10 years so maybe she would have liked it too and tatooed her derierre, lol!!! The thought of that little teeny old woman with her apron and her granny clothes covering up a a tatoo on her butt while leaning over a pot of chicken and dumplins makes me smile!!!!!!!! Guess you earned that tat Coyote and happy you are here to share it with us

I have a few more mustaches and noses to sew on and then I need to find some small black buttons for eyes and I should be done..send me your address again Welman and I will have them on their way in a week or two.

I think they are ok but I ran the design so far out it wont be easy making a seam with another block, might have to put it on a background and sew it down instead, sorry, not so great with these little blocks I guess. If I were to do a smaller block again, I would only do applique, I def. prefer the bigger ones. Here is my progress without the eyes...

Yes, the white is wonky in some with the tonal stripe going a different way, sorry about that too but I ran out of white and had to make due with the scraps, in a finished piece I don't think anyone will notice

Heres a pic of the block (CHRISTmas Heart) that I will be doing..........sure hope you all like it..........the border is red and then I used 3 cordinating fabrics for the heart.....I like it a lot, it turned out so cute

P.S.-- No the left side isn't crooked

I just haven't ironed it yet.

SE and Acre..those are great..another great wall hanging/quilt in the making..so glad I joined this one....but..aren't you two the cats meow!!! I don't even have my fabric together yet!!!

I am gonna be on Vacation the first week of Aug..

..gonna go to a nice quilt shop in Florida..hope to pick up the other fabrics then...
