Yea she has a little duck she sleeps with. Not sure if it helps much or not. I know the poor thing just wants her mama and not to sleep alone. Makes me sad:-(

See if you can find stuffed animal with alot of fuzz. Something she can cuddle up too. The duck doesn't look to fuzzy.

I will buy her a fuzzy friend tmrw. Great idea!! And I dont feel right pulling a chick from its mama outside and caging it up with her. They dont know me as their mama, as she does and they are use to the great outdoors. I've thought about it and wish i could do that.

I once had a chick that happily chirped when I was with her, and chirped a distressed chirp when I went out of her sight and she was normal. I think she adopted me as her mother and didn't want to be left alone.

That is exactly what mine does and it breaks my heart to just shut the door and leave her screaming. Obviously I dont have a choice, but nothing seems to calm her down.

I'm just throwing this out there. I know sometimes if people end up with a loan puppy or kitten they get one of those wind up clocks that makes a ticking sound. Would this help? Or a hot water bottle with the fuzzy towel wrapped around it baby.

I'm definitely getting her a super fuzzy stuffed animal tmrw. The one She has now doesn't have much fuzz. She has a heat lamp but i will try what you mentioned with the water bottle Thanks!

Have you tried putting a mirror behind her cage? I had a duck that loved her reflection in the mirror she cried too and when I put the mirror up she was happy.

How cute! I would love a duck! Do u have a pond for them or just a kiddie pool?

We have 15 ducks and they have 2 kiddie pools.We also have 12 chickens and 2 keets. They keep me busy that's for sure.

I hope the mirror works for her it sure helped us. The duck was quacking nonstop unless I was in her sight.
