I'm glad the girls are doing well on your farm. I can see where ours wouldn't be as friendly since I don't spend as much time with them as I should. I hate to get emotionally close to them and then lose one to a coyote or something. It makes it so much harder. We lost one of our ducks while we were on vacation last week and I'm still very sad over it.

I understand, I have allowed myself to get a little too close to our girls. We haven't lost any recently, but I accidentally locked one of them in the garage the other day and thought I had lost her.. I was walking around the house frantically, ready to go fist to toe with the jerk that took my lil girl!!! Then I heard a peep come from the garage and found her in there....

Jeez, the guys at work say I need to have kids...

I have a Red Leg "hybrid" /crossbreed that has layed a double EVERY day for over a week ! I have 2 of this breed and the other just started laying yesterday .. not a double
