Ok we just had the exact same occurrence with our hen. We found this super huge egg a week before Easter. We thought she must have just laid an egg with four yolks because of its size. We hard boiled it and dyed it gold "The chicken that laid the golden egg". Anyway we decided to count the yolks tonight. We cracked it open and inside was another fully formed egg (shell and all). We couldn't believe it and have never heard of such a thing. She also laid another one today. I'm going to have to take video of us cracking it open as well. So much fun!
