This is just too funny!!!

Yesterday I had my wife post a bunch of stuff on craigslist.com. Most for free to just get it out of our yard and into the hands of someone that could use it (better that than the dump).

My dad had collected a ton (about 30) rubber wheels over the years from bikes, scooters, carts, etc. They have been sitting around forever and I was about to toss them in the garbage... right as I was doing so I thought, "There's got to be SOMEONE on CL that would want these for free!" Had the wife snap some pics and post them.

Fast forward to today. I email our very on eggchel (Chellie) and tell her about a evaporative cooler I was going to buy on CL. She emailed me back a few times. The second email said:

"Hey Buddy,

Is this guy near your house? If so, is there any chance that you could pick these wheels up for me? You can share them with me or hold them hostage..."

Turns out... it was the wheels that my wife had posted the day before. I called her right up and said, "Those wheels you want... I don't think it will be a problem getting them... they are mine! That's our post!!"

Pretty funny that I posted something to get rid of and a good friend saw it and wanted it.

What a small world!

Hee hee..that's hilarious, Rob.... It's really a small world, isn't it?
Today at the feed store I asked if I could put up a flyer for Chickenstock. The gal there said "Oh, I was just on there today, Do you know these folks?"

Hehehehe Rob! That was pretty funny. I saw the Craigslist ad for a bucket and box full of wheels and immediately thought of chicken tractors!!! Doesnt everyone need wheels for chicken tractors?

Then I took off to pick up some free sod..... laid out a nice little 8x12 lawn in the Toulouse pen.

I love craigslist!!
Here is a picture of my biggest FREE score on Craigslist.org just after delivery:

Yup, a 24 x 40 ft modular. I also scored a 24 x 60 ft modular but I knew it wouldnt fit around the curve in my drive, so my next door neighbor now has it on his property.

We're part of a car sharing initiative (basically giving lifts to other people going the same way as you, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions) and the bloke we gave a lift to last week had sent his daughter to the same school. It later turned out that one of my friends knows his daughter through choir.

An even better example . . . my dad went backpacking around southern India and then bumped into someone from work.

Hilarious.

I wanted a new mountain bike about 5 years ago and was really picky. I wanted a certain size, certain brand, women's specific, certain price range, and it had to be under a year old. I went on Ebay and found exactly what I wanted. I emailed the seller to ask about shipping only to find upon her reply... she lived 4 blocks away from me. We both lived in the same part of Boise, Idaho.

I walked over to her house and handed her cash, $200 less than her price. She stared at the stack of $100 bills, counted them and then said "Take it!!"

It is a small world.
