This is some eggs I gathered when I got home from work.

From left to right: New Hampshire Red, Regular Coturnix, Regular Coturnix, Regular Coturnix (WOW), Quarter.

What do you think happened. Why so big. I've had a bantam that wasn't this big.
 
Double or triple yolker probably. I've had ones like that for a week straight now. I started with one laying double yolkers, then the second one started also.

Early layers can produce big eggs like that. Too high of protein feed can make them do that as well. Happens once in a while to every hen.

I cracked it open in the skillet and it ate just fine. I just hope the hen is ok. I am sure she is though. Yes, they are tough. I feed them hen purina layer crumbles.
