Whats with all the dead animals recently? Vamps dead mouse and now this? Maybe where amidst a worldwide pandemic of dismembered and dead animals!

My brother had a cat that would bring whatever it killed to the front door and leave it for him to see. He would have to let her know that he saw it then she would take it away and do whatever with it.

This is really gross so if you are squemish don't read. He also had a friend who was walking his dog in Yuma by a lemon grove. He let the dog run in it every day. This day the dog came back from the grove with a human arm in tow. Seems a border crosser didn't make it. He must have sat down and passed in the lemon grove and the dog found him there.

Our barn cat Buddy leaves me offerings all the time. Only problem is he only leaves the head, heart, liver! The rest of the body is missing. He leaves me the body part or two in front of my washing machine. Gross one time he had a huge rat that was still alive. He was trying his best to get it and his head through the cat door. But the rat was so big it wouldn't fit. He kept trying and bumping the opening and he has this look like what is going on and why can't I get in. When I seen him I started yelling at him telling him your not bring that thing in here and letting it go or eating it. I had my foot on the door and looking for something with in reach to block it off. All the while he is still trying to get in the door. I finally grabbed some packing tape and used half a roll on the door opening. Buddy was not a happy camper after that. lol He had to dine out instead of in.

If the worst thing you ever find is a squirrel leg consider yourself lucky. Our dog Duster (RIP) was playing out in the back 10 and when we called him up he brought a GIANT deer leg with him. I'm talking a hind leg with the entire leg present and accounted for. We never found the rest of the carcass and couldn't find it in our hearts to take his hard earned treasure away from him.

Spring is in the air and dead critters are everywhere!

We have a colony of grackles that are nesting around our house (and pooping on our cars!!!). They are EVERYWHERE! The cats keep bringing home dismembered chicks... bleh!

A couple months ago I also found a decapitated full size wild rabbit in our GARAGE!

It was nasty... and frozen to the carpet... yeah... YUCK! I got that out of there ASAP... and made sure not to let Chubs (my Holland Lop) see his poor cousin!!

Just for giggles... here is a pic of a couple of the grackle babies I fed for a few days... they were half dead when I found them. I think the wind blew them out of their nest... There were 3, only 2 lived... (one was dead when I found them). After 2 days of me feeding them I returned them to their colony.

Oh, and if you notice some brown gunk on their feathers, its the food I was giving them... didn't notice it until I took the pics! Haha! They are MESSY!

Baby chicks are SOOOOO much cuter than these little eating machines!!!

They are hideous aren't they? Well, they've been sighted in the backyard and have been flying already! Its amazing how fast wild birds grow!
