HOW do you seperate the poop from the shavings? I cant have a bunch of shavings buried in my garden... *sigh*
Tell me how you do it.. i wanna use my chicken poop too.. (cause my garden is NOT growing at all this year. )

heres what i would do


Grab a 5 gallon bucket

Pantyhouse or chesse cloth

place chicken shcavings/manure in pantyhouse or chesse cloth

hang in the water for a day or so (or even a few hours)

Use saparinlgy at first with in place of normal watering.

Do NOT drink

Second thing...

Set in big pile let compost for a year

It is amazing stuff! When my husband bought some tomato plants we dug into the compost pile to get the oldest of it. I can see the top of the plants right from this window by me, that's a good 6ft of height! We bought them at about 10 inches tall, 2 months ago? It was a late planting. They're MASSIVE! trying to do 6 tomatoes per little branch, I keep pinching off the smallest 3 to increase the size of the remaining ones and keep some weight off the vine. I'm worried the vine will break from the size of those things!

The red peppers too, holy cow! Started with 1 pepper each, they never grew that large, but now the plants are getting a pile of peppers on them!
