Janette stared hard at the deceased date, as if staring would make it go away. "Did you ever know Dean?" She asked.

"No, my parents never mentioned having another child." Emily said. Realization dawned on Emily, "I think that is why they always fought. My Mom said it was my Dad's fault for making her choose. She had to choose one of her children, but why? Did my Dad only want one child?"

Janette was entirely stumped for an answer. If Dean had been a patient here, then perhaps Dr. Mythe would have some answers. "I'm afraid I don't have an answer for that," she said sorrowfully. "Oh look at the time," she said, checking her expensive gold watch. "I need to go change to tend to my evening rounds. You can stay here or go check out the entertainment rooms. I think there's a pool table and a few other things like that that you may find interesting."

Janette was entirely stumped for an answer. If Dean had been a patient here, then perhaps Dr. Mythe would have some answers. "I'm afraid I don't have an answer for that," she said sorrowfully. "Oh look at the time," she said, checking her expensive gold watch. "I need to go change to tend to my evening rounds. You can stay here or go check out the entertainment rooms. I think there's a pool table and a few other things like that that you may find interesting."

Emily watched as the nurse gathered her things and left the table. Emily finished her dinner alone and returned her tray to the drop off, then decided to check out the entertainment room. It was a large room with a billiard table, foosball table, large television, and comfy chairs arranged around a bookshelf. There was no one in the room except her, so she went in and looked through the selection of books. There were books on gardening, cooking, raising chickens, (see what I did there?) and nature photography, but also some novels on science fiction, romance, and mysteries. Emily chose a romance novel titled "Sweet Emily", because it shared her name and the girl on the cover looked a little like her, but entwined with a seductive looking man. Emily took the book back to her room since there was no sign saying the books had to stay here. She flopped down on the bed and began to read.

Janette changed into her nurse clothes (what's the name for them?) and brushed her hair up into a high ponytail. She applied a fresh coat of burgundy red lipstick and changed her shoes before heading downstairs. She was fortunate to not have any of the extremely weird homeless people under her care. Most were decent and could carry on conversation, but there were a couple crazies, such as the previously mentioned screaming man. Janette went to the cafeteria to put together his evening meal.
