(MYTHE XD)

"Oh, dear. Sounds serious," Janette smirked. She obeyed, sitting down in the stiff wooden chair and folding her arms.

(Yeah, I just realized that a few seconds after I posted. XD)

"So, I want to ask you something." Thomas paused for a few moments. "If you were able to completely change the outcome of the earth, would you?" He patiently waited for a response.

The control freak in Janette suddenly came alive. She was sorely tempted to say yes, but wasn't sure where this was going and didn't care to get herself fired by saying so. "It depends," she replied. "Why do you ask?"

Thomas was hoping for a yes, but that was good enough for now.

"Because I have that ability." He said simply. "I have poured years of my life into studying and working as hard as I could. And now I am inches away from changing the entire world. I just need time, and people who are on board with me."
"Do you believe anything I am saying so far?" Thomas asked her. He didn't want to go deeper into any of this, if she didn't even believe him so far. If she didn't believe him, he'd have to explain some more.

Janette turned sideways in her chair and rested her arm over the back of it. "Go on," she said, becoming extremely interested in what he had to say.

Thomas was glad that she was actually interested, instead of thinking he was insane so far.

"I have studied the air and soil for years now, and I have enough information to know that there is no turning back from what we have done to the earth. The human race is going to end, in an estimate of 200 years. Earth won't be able to support the chemicals, population, and destruction we have brought to it."
Thomas quickly thought of the best way to say what he was about to admit.
"But...I think humans deserve another chance. A different species of human, a humanoid. I have created the perfect creature to rule this earth once again, and they will be released when earth has healed from the wounds we have given it."
He waited to say anything else, because he guessed that it was a possibility Janette had some questions.

Janette's eyes widened in surprise. She listened intently to his every word, hardly daring to breath for fear he would stop. It was fascinating, what he was saying, and she could hardly be more interested. When he did stop, she quickly thought of a reply. "Is that what this place, this 'hotel', is for?" She asked. She didn't suspect, though, that the homeless in the home were for his purpose.

"Yes, this place is for my research. I hope you do not take offense to this, but this isn't for the well being of the homeless at all." Thomas told her.
"Before I had even thought about starting a homeless shelter, I knew I of course couldn't test on humans. It was illegal, and would be impossible to keep secret. But by picking out the ones that nobody knows about, nobody cares about, I can be successful in my research and not waste time testing on rabbits and rats that get me nowhere.
People's lives have been taken here, but it has all proved to be worth it. The virus that has taken years for me to create is finally working, normal humans I select are turning into the best creature that has ever existed. More intelligent than anything Earth has been inhabited by. This is what they are now."

Thomas got up from his chair and walked to the back of his office, where there was a locked door. He took out a key from his pocket and unlocked it, opening the door.
"These creatures are very aggressive at the moment, but this one in here is tamed. Just don't be really loud or anything." He assured Janette as the large metal door opened. "Come out." Thomas said, and a tall creature slowly walked out, and stood at the doorway of his enclosure calmly.

The humanoid was taller than Thomas, and muscular. It had extremely pale white/greyish skin, razor sharp teeth, pointed ears, no hair, and long claws on its boney fingers. Despite not being human, it still had clothing, but it was torn up and covered in dirt.
Its eyes looked at the new person, Janette, curiously. It didn't see humans often. But since it wasn't provoked, it didn't attack.

"This is what the money you have donated has gone to. My research, and my new creation. Janette, I am changing the world. And it may seem insane, or horrid, but this is allowing humans to continue living. And if you join me in overcoming the apocalypse, you could make the world what you want." Thomas told her, a slightly insane look in his eyes. But he wasn't on the verge of killing anything, he just waited to see what Janette had to say about it. Though, depending on her reply to this, he may have to kill her later.

Janette listened intently, letting out a gasp here and there. He said so many things and they all sort of blended together by the time he had stopped. When he went to the locked door, she gulped, waiting to see what would emerge. Her hand flew to her mouth and she gasped loudly when the creature came out. It was tall, very tall, and looked so very human like but yet not. She took a deep breath and stood up, letting her hand fall to her side, her other hand clutching the chair's back. He had said so much she wasn't sure what to reply to first. The way you want it. Those words stood out to her, touched something inside her. How glorious to have things the way she wanted them. "Yes," she nodded. "Yes, I'd like very much to help you," she agreed, shaking her head vigorously. There were many things more that she wished to say but they could wait. Right now there was a "humanoid" standing two yards away. Right now, there was an offer to change the world, make it the way she wanted it.

Thomas smiled widely, "Perfect!" He said. "Brilliant. I am very glad you agreed." He looked to the humanoid and gestured for him to go back into his enclosure, which the humanoid did, and he closed the door again, locking it.

He then turned to Janette again.
"Janette, will you be my assistant? You will know everything about my plans, and we will work together to change earth and make the world the way we want."
