Which is better homemade or store bought feeders and waters. Im looking at the feeders that mount on the wall for rabbits and using a five galloon pale for a watering container.

I use store bought waterers for my laying hens up until winter hits. Then I switch to a childs swimming pool with a de-icer in the winter that is just ouotside their pop door in the run. However, I made the 2 feeders for the coop. One that hangs on the wall and holds roughly 3 gallons worth of feed and then I made another feeder that sits on bricks on the floor that hold 75 lbs. of feed. This makes it very convenient when we want to go away for a week or so.

For my meat birds, I use homemade waterers and feeders out of 5 gal. buckets that can easily be moved around if need be.
