Home-schooled Peeps Unite Here! ----->

*sneaks in, even though isn't homeschooling anymore**but did homeschool for 12 years**and a semester**and skipped a grade because of it**and also because NY schools suck*
I've been homeschooled all my life so I can't imagine how bad public schools are.

Ok, here's the thing-a lot of people who say they wish they were home schooled say that because they are under the impression that homeschoolers stay at home in their pj's all day, doing nothing. Personally, I've found that at different points in my life, I've liked different things more. For example, before high school, the only time I've been in public school was the first semester of second grade. I abhorred it. It was the opposite of what I needed in school. However, as I got older, it became harder to motivate myself to do my work. I needed to finish it, but it was hard to do so. That was when I started going to public high school, and at that point it was the right thing for me.

Lol ugh people always ask us if we get to sleep in and wear pjs and I'm always like, "what gave you that idea?!" My cousin asked if we had any friends, assuming since we are homeschooled we're completely alone in our small town....

Hmmm some of my friends go to private high schools now, they've said the same thing you just said about feeling unmotivated.

I'm not saying I don't feel unmotivated sometimes in high school too, lol :P I'm just saying that as I got older, the fluidity and less structure made it harder for me to get things done. Having the structure of high school(40 minute periods where the teacher tells you what to do :P) is what I need for this stage in my life.

Who else is excited for the end of school!? I have to do history over the summer, but it's SO CLOSE! "School" for me ends this upcoming Tuesday! :celebrate
