NOTE: Make sure if you do add essential oil that the oil is colorless or it will discolor your clothes.

I prefer Lavender because of the smell, it's a natural moth repellant and it's a natural antidepessant and sleep aid so when you wash your sheets in it you'll have a GREAT nights sleep.

You can make it with Dr. Bronners too, but i can't find the recipe right now- there are a couple of changes.

Can you use fragrance oils instead of essential oils? Or does that defeat the whole "natural" part? LOL
It just needs to be colorless, right?

I see that you use a whole bar. I have seen the same receipe except it calls for 1/3 of a bar. Do you know what the difference is.

I don't know really. All the recipes I've seen calls for a full bar.

I've seen recipes for both. Just do an internet search for "homemade Laundry detergent".

Do you have a top-loader or a front-loader? How sudsy does it get? I have a front-loader and I use regular detergent but I use much less. Does it seperate while it sits?
