Homemade GUMP Bread - best I've found! **New pics added on pg. 5**

I buy the 2-1 lb pack at sams too. Then have a small jar to keep some out and keep the rest in the freezer.

I never thought to keep the small container in the fridge. I usually use it up pretty quickly and I just keep the small one at room temp.

Hey Wildsky, My DD and I are making the soup bowls today. Perfect weather for it (rainy). I want to make french onion soup but I have not found a good recipe for it yet. So, It will be potato soup and beef stew on the menu. Sorry, no clam chowder. If you leave now, you may be here in time for dinner at , lets say,,,,, 6 o'clock? Out of bisquits so I need to make a bunch of those too and freeze them. Baking day!

I might give it another try today myself, but we have a new bed for my dd and we're putting that together now, all very exciting going on.

I bet a nice stew would also go into a breadbowl like it belonged there.... yum (I love potato soup)

I made Gump bread with whole wheat flour.

This is a great recipe, very forgiving and versatile.

I like to use olive oil in it too, with italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese.
