We made a hatcher out of an old cooler. We are using the hot water heater upper thermostat. We are fluctuating from 98.1-101.9 with a 60 watt bulb, this is a still are hatcher so I'm not sure
if this is right or not? This is driving me insane this is lock down day! We tried the 40 watt bulb and it would only get up to 96.9.

Thermo is on the opposite end, its a 48 quart maxcold cooler

I mounted mine about 3/4" above the light bulb and it stays within 1 degree. I mounted mine with the adjustment knob facing up and drilled a hole in the top of the 'bator and attached a little screwdriver to a dowel and put it down through the hole. Now I can adjust when needed without opening the lid. The only reason I have to adjust is when the room gets cold as the incubator isn't very well insulated. I also put 2 computer fans in it, one at the bottom, and one at the top. That made a hugh difference in leveling out the temps.

Lockdown is still 5 days away, but out of 16 eggs 10 or 11 look good, the others are clear. What I need to work on this week is getting my humidity up for lockdown.
