Had to try my hand at candling. I could see progress in the 5 light colored shells, the others are dark brown and I can't see anything in them. It's only day 4 so I will give them a few more days and see if I see anything.

Hi Wilds of Pa
The rottisserie motor i used can be bought as a add on item for a hooded BBQ from specialist BBQ places over here. It cost $25 Aussie. They normally use 2 D cell batteries, but I have taken the motor and gearing from the original case and put it in a project case and feed power from a timer control circuit.

Can someone tell me how the humidity works with cabinet incubators where you are incubating and hatching at the same time? How do you increase your humidity the last 3 days for the hatches without screwing up the eggs that are still incubating?

I am either going to have to build a second bator or maybe I'll build a hatcher....

My dozen eggs seem to have multiplied.

Steff,
I only bump the humidity up in the last three days.
If there is an earlier batch of eggs in I reduce the humidity after the hatch is finished.
Three days higher humidity is no real issue if you compensate for it after.

A fellow Aussie on a Aussie site hatches a week apart in a hovabator, the only thing he does is mist the eggs due to hatch with warm water when he opens the bator to turn the younger eggs.
