Homemade Salsa

Sounds yummy! I'm going to have to make some!

Sorry, no recipe here, just before and after pics.
The onions were grown in the garden too, but didn't make it into the before pic.
We shake the jars up before we use 'em to mix the water that settles out after the
salsa sits for a while.

We don't like our salsa watery, but I reserve the liquid, because it can be added to other stuff. I'll put it in homeade thousand island dressing, in soups, stews and gravies and it it always good over rice.
I found that if I just add one of our frozen jalapenos to the newly opened jar of salsa and let it sit a while, the salsa comes out perfectly hot. That way I can have some to serve for those who don't like it hot, without opening another jar.

Easy to grow.... saving money in hard times... and plenty of left over veggies for the chickens to eat!!!
