Homemade Suburban Chicken Coop & Run

Not an optical illusion. It is slanted, so that the top of it wouldn't cover the side ventilation of the coop.
Do you get a lot of rain? Or have you had a chance to see how the roof behaves during rain? Water sheeting towards the coop/collecting by the wall can eventually cause rot or mold.

The run does not have a typical roof. It's just hardware cloth on the top. If it had a solid roof then you would be absolutely right.
