Homemade whole grain feed enough?

Hi and welcome to BYC:frow I can tell you've put a lot of effort into this... I would suggest two books if you want to learn more about feed.
  • "Commercial Poultry Nutrition", Second Edition by S.Leeson and J.D.Summers
  • "Feeding Pasture—Raised Poultry" by Jeff Mattocks
I agree with most of what's been said here and will share my thoughts as well. I am not hard over on "Organic" but I want to know how my grains are grown, and what types of fertilizers were used (I look for natural and sustainable). I also use only non-GMO grains, not because I have an issue with GMO, but because I don't want even trace amounts of herbicide in my feed.

If you were to pursue your own recipe You'll need a vitamin pack. I recommend Fertrell Nutri-Balancer I would also recommend them for kelp and fish meal largely because I know the level of effort they put into finding their ingredients and ensuring that what's provided is organic and good for our birds. Also, if you're a fertrell customer you have access to their nutritionists.

I've taken a stab at your recipe to show you where you're at. There are a number of upper limits in feed recipes, for example barley and oats combined should not exceed 15% by volume. I don't have the analysis for the brewers yeast, so it is not included in the analysis below. But here's what your recipe looks like.

Nutrient Name: Amount Units
Crude Protein 13.6% %
