Will this work as a natural wormer? What say you?

No it wouldn't.
All I'm interested in here is to try and prevent people reading posts like these and trying to use pumpkin seeds or other concocted remedies to rid a chicken of a possibly harmful worm load.
There is nothing cool about this type of misinformation.
Ditto Dat^^^

It'll never end tho...it's like questioning someone's religion.

Here is something I noticed that seems to have improved dramatically since given the secret potion.;)
As stated earlier this morning I did not notice any rounds worms on the poop board. BUT for some time now, I have had 2 hens that have had watery poop. With PDZ on the boards it is clear as can be to see the wet spots. This morning after being given the pumpkin seed potion there were no wet spots on the board. I was really surprised at this because for some reason as long as I have had her (one of my Delaware hens) she has had watery poop. So last night she either didn’t go which is very unlikely or the Pumpkin seeds helped her gut. What say you?

Actually, I came on here because of your title - which definitely says "Homemade Worming Treatment! " Just because you added (maybe?), it still means you are looking at it as a worming treatment.

It is an interesting experiment on your part. I agree that it will be interesting to see if it helps. I had 8 hens eat a 12" diameter pumpkin in one day. and a 10" diameter pumpkin 3 days later. No grinding it up, no messy dishes, just threw them in the coop. No sign of worms in the poop, before or after. But the egg yolks were very, very, dark yellow/orange-ish in color.

Really @aart ?? At no point did I say it was a wormer.
And what he is saying is this thread is saying that it is a wormer and that is incorrect.
Sorry, Dude.
The whole topic as you present it is rather misleading.
Says right in the title "Homemade Worming".
Yes, you've made some disclaimers and added some wiggle words, but still.

Your proposed 'testing' is flawed.
Without multiple fecals before hand(it takes more than one because any resident worms are not always shedding segments or eggs), then precise measurements of the semi-effective component in the pumpkin seeds(pretty much impossible for a backyarder and there are multiple species of cucurbits with different levels), then multiple fecals afterwards, it's all anecdotal.

We see this come up every fall....it's as ubiquitous as 'pumpkin spice' everything.
There are studies out there, have read them but didn't save them, that shows it's a crap shoot. Much like ACV, DE, garlic, and other herbs and spices. Taking one little tiny possibility and blowing it into a cure all.

Correct catchey title but you can NOT exclude the word Maybe? With the question mark it shows I am asking or questioning something.

Not true, while catchy it’s not misleading. You can’t just pick two words from the title and say that is what the title is. You can clearly see the words of the title and how you presented it that is actually “misleading”. I see what your getting at and I understand. Having the title be a question or presenting it as a question in no way says that it is fact which some are saying it is.
God a lot is lost in text and I see how it’s easy to misunderstand something. Which is why I keep saying along the way it is not fact.
