Homeschool science project!

I've gotten mpc hatching eggs for homeschooling and it was 6 eggs but I got 9 and only 3 hatched. 3 weren't even fertile. 3 died early on. I was disappointed. Happy hatching!!

Is it just eggs they do that with? How do you go about doing it? Is there a box to check or an application to fill out or a pony to ride or what?

Hi, it sounds like a great school project. Are you keeping daily temp and humidity readings? And you know, if you hatch the beginning of March you will have plenty of time to get eggs together for Mahonri's Easter hatch, a great learning experience shared with others :D

Your candled egg photo is very nice. It is amazing to me how much it resembles a spider! The first time I candled and saw the "spider veins", I literally almost dropped the egg...I hate spiders that much! At day 17 (for me) I can no longer see much when I candle.

I go into lockdown tomorrow.

When will the insanity stop??? I hope things settle down after they hatch.

Sounds so fun! We homeschool too but haven't been able to convince my DH to let us incubate eggs yet-maybe next year. But we still have lots of fun with chicks and this year ducklings as well.

I just looked at MYC and under 'hatching eggs -for education' they charge $23 which is for 6 eggs and free shipping

I got 24 (they sent 26) for $50 and no shipping. So, less than $2 each. I wonder if the price goes down when you get more? I confess, I found the Eggs For Education page on MPC to be very confusing, but it worked out!
