Welcome from Indiana! I don't envy all you're going through right now-----having to give up your flock and moving (I despise packing). But I am a little jealous that you'll be living in the UP. We've spent a few vacations up there, and it's the most beautiful place I've been to----although the winters are probably a little rougher than here in Indiana. Good luck with everything-------hope you visit BYC often.

drdoolittle - yeah, hate packing - prefer the unpacking part. It's going to be expensive too - and I can't even make any firm plans yet as I must go through the court process.

And I'll have to rent first most likely.

Everywhere I've lived, I've always wanted more snow, so when I heard about the snow in Keweenaw and that it's a USDA band warmer than Madison, Wisconsin (where I spent three winters long ago), that was it.

I'm sure I'll grow to hate the stuff like many there, but that will take awhile, i think. lol
