Homesteaders

Yeppers,I can. Your gardening is way ahead of mine. I think I am just going to buy my plants. I don't really have a place to start them and I have chicks and eggs in everywhere I could.

If you are coming down to visit the wicked witch in early May you can get some of these tomatoes and peppers
What I don't plant will go to the farmers market starting 5/7

a card table in any sunny window will do. some card tables are rectangular. I have some fold up shelves I use. Watch CL for something to use.

FYI, these are cheap but not very good as they need monitoring or they get hot. I reckon the frame without the plastic indoors would be okay. Then you'd just pack it up till next year.

I'm going to have some left over seeds so if someone wants to pm your address I'll stick them in the mail. St.Clair and Homestead tomatoes so far. I'm only starting about a dozen of each. Just a few seeds but hey they're free. I expect I'll be able to save seeds for next year.

Anyone have a variety they grow from their saved seeds?

We have a rediculous amount of black walnut trees and a family of crazy coy/dingo dogs running our hill. My dog is part dingo and part Sheppard and the coy girls out here like him. My kids work the farm right with us so it's a family thing. We will be going off grid , well 95% I have to keep my phone because I have to children with sever medical needs, probably within 10 years and going back in time . Not to save money but to save ourselves from getting lost in technology. We are a very average family and very boring as far as inspiration for a farm name goes.

Oh!! Maybe "hilltop family farm". We are at the highest point on our hill. We currently have chickens, both meat and egg, and a very large garden. We will be adding more as time goes, but for now it's small. We love growing things and raising animals and this is just the beginning of our homestead.Name ideas -

Lets try this again.

I'd suggested Hedge Hog farm since hedge hogs are cute. In the U.K. they're a nuisance. A nice silouhette.
