Homesteaders

Oh warning, they are not all onions. Some are the garlic thingies. I have no clue what they are called but they are good also. I just put a marker of some kind to separate the patches.

1 more thing. If you just cut the tops, you can cut to ground level, but leave the root alone that will grow back time and time again.
They've been coming up every spring no matter how low we mow them, just figured if they can be put to use then I can have a productive lawn.

Anyone got wood chips dropped off to them yet? If I don't get any I might just get some straw and lay under the wild berry bushes to suppress other weeds and make harvesting easier

No chips here. I'll probably just use chicken coop cleanings. Too I intend to get some peat moss to loosen up the soil so shoots have an easier time of it.

Dad has a chipper, does that count

All the chips are at his house in the beds from the willow trees we trimmed. Got bunny poop from the pile at the house Hubby is a landlord for this morning. Put 2 huge garbage buckets on Dad's garden, going to put the 2 5 gallon buckets in my new beds that have no bunny poop in the dirt yet.

No chips here. Would be great though. I need a dump truck load of them. I have been adding 2 year old horse manure to my garden and trees and really want to cover it with woodchips
