Probably posted in wrong place but I found this spot. I moved to Libya in 2012 and we r in process of buying a home with land so we can finally have a small farm of food supply. Animals as well as crops. Chicken here is around 4$ a pound so growing my own will be better and healthier. Although processed chickens r here electricity isnt always and you never know if that frozen meat or fresh chicken is up to health standards much of us are use to. Also care and feeding of many animals is well lets say out of date. Lack of knowledge is best word as some people do care. We want to show family better ways to care and raise food supplies. I found this page few days ago and im going to be visiting when I can as internet is a luxury as well. Turkeys r my favorite and are limited here but I hope to have one on my table by this time next year. Suggestions welcome. I can build but wood is scarce here, not to many predators but I do want penned hens. I cant afford to keep buying cause a hen ran off. Hope this site will help me set up a nice supply of food for our table.
