Homozygous olive egger flock thread

This thread is to discuss how you achieved a homozygous flock and any tips or tricks or, if you are working towards a homozygous olive egger flock, questions you have along the way.

I was given a tip that blue egg layers have pigment inhibitors (can decrease the brown in egg color) so before you start crossing oe to oe get the darkest olive egg genetics you can. I am starting my oe flock with f4 oe- hopefully genetically strong enough dark brown that a double dose of blue doesn't affect it too much!
