honestly i dont like silkies lol

It is ok if they are not your cup of tea.

I adore my Silkies. Rita is my sweetest and Cinnimon lets me pick him up for cuddles.
I do get confused if they really are chickens as their feathers are more fur like and when alarmed mine make a quacking sound just like a duck. First time we heard it we about fell over laughing. Is it a chicken, poodle, or duck? There are rumors that they are tribbles from Star Trekkies.

My 2 Silkie x EE mixes with their daddy. Mom is the Silkie in my avatar. One lays tan and the other lays blue.

So whats the point in posting about it? If you dont like them, thats fine, no problem. But why bother us about it? We didn't make your decision to get them for you.

I understand the Dirty Part. I love my silkie, but her feathers on her head get so messed up when they are wet. lol

Awww...Silkies are a breed I never thought I'd own...went to a chicken swap in my area this past Saturday to get some RIR pullets, and what did I go home with- 2 silkie/Polish cross pullets, and a GL cochin!!! Seriously?! Fell in love with the little buggers...lol...wonder what they will look like as they get older...(I've always made fun of the Polish breeds, so this will be fun!)...

I totally agree! My first thought was why bother those that like silkies with such a negative statement? Just keep it to yourself and post on the chicken groups you like.
