I have a large bag of Honey Nut Cheerios that my kiddos let go stale. Can I feed them to my chickens as a treat?
Thanks

Of course, go for it.May take a day or so to catch on if it is a new treat. I make home made suet all the time for the birds and cheap old cereal is added when I have some available. My chickens go nuts for popcorn as well. In moderation, there are a lot of unique treats you can give the birds... Steve

My girls love popcorn!!! I make them a batch every 4 or 5 days. I make it plain using a hot air popper. I'm not sure if microwave popcorn would be good or bad cuz of the butter and salt. They just about bust my kitchen door down when they hear the popper going!!

Like scratch'n'peck said, feed in moderation would be good. ;)

Now excuse me, I'm going to go eat some honey nut cheerios...they sound awfully good right now. ;)

We feed ours cheerios a little treat they come up on the porch for sometime during the day,in fact the hens have learned to catch them .Amazing what they can do.:)
