I brought my baby chicks outside, since it's a nice warm day, but that also means the bees are out. They are approximately 4 days old. My Russian Orloff baby got stung by one of the honeybees, but she managed to pull the stinger out before I grabbed her. She seems okay; was a little itchy for a couple minutes.
So are honeybee stings dangerous for baby chicks, or am I worrying about nothing?
First time in 4 years this has happened, so I never thought much of it. I always take the babies outside on nice days as soon as they have their feet under them. It's good for them and they feather in faster.
