Hi all,
I was doing my rounds last night and while I was collecting eggs, heard this high-pitched honk/squeak sound. I'd hear it maybe every 3-5 min. I wasn't able to narrow it down to one chicken til this morning when I let them out and was able to follow each one around.
Thanks in advance!!

1) What type of bird , age and weight. - Easter Egger Hen, almost 7 months, not sure
2) What is the behavior, exactly. - Every few minutes she'll make a squeeky/honky noise, real quick and short
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? - Noticed it yesterday
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? - Not that I can tell (it was hard to figure out which one)
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. - Nope
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. - We've had a lot of rain in the past 48 hours after a long dry spell. When it started last night, I had just refilled the feeder
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. - Appears to be
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. - Haven't isolated any of her poop, but a couple of the others' is soft with a little bit of a rusty color mixed in
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? - Posting here!!
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? - Treat myself
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use - Storage building converted into coop. Due for a complete clean. Pretty dusty. Daily turn-out into a lot.

Sounds like she's sneezing. If your coop is due for a cleaning I'd start there. She also could have some food stuck in her throat. They'll make that funny, squeaky, coughing sound if there is something lodged in the throat. Other than that- I'd keep an eye on her to make sure she isn't starting some kind of illness, but none of her symptoms are indicative of her being sick (yet).

Mine squeak like that when they are being gluttons. They inhale their food so fast it's no wonder.

Good luck.
